Spacious bed and areas

The apartment was a large 2-bedroom unit, with each one being overly large. There was a great selection of cutlery and china. There was a large porch with two chairs, although we didn't use it. It was cold, so having a powerful heater in the kitchen/living area was huge. Likewise, a second one in the primary bedroom was useful. The washer and dryer came in handy - a bonus was having detergent available. Lots of hot water - yay!

A HUGE negative was the lack of attention to details - the frypan was only big enough for one egg, and was so old, and in such poor shape, it was dangerous to use, because the silicone was all peeling off. Same with the spatula, pancake turner - it was peeling and all bubbly. There was a large stain on the couch cushion that should have been cleaned. Lots of scuff marks on the baseboards and walls; what looked like mold in the shower pan; a strip on the bathroom wall; painting hooks on walls, but no paintings up any longer. This all left an impression of "we don't care." A big issue for us when we arrived after dark, as we'd told the owners we would, was that we had a great amount of difficulty FINDING the unit, as there were no lights on anywhere, and no one to ask. Speaking of no one to ask, I walked over to what was labeled "Reception" to show them the appalling frypan and ask for another, but I couldn't find anyone. I knocked on a door, walked around the property, and have rarely felt as disgusted by what I could see outside and inside. Giving this propery an "8" is generous in my opinion.

Overall size w/room to spread out. Full fridge & dishwasher. Good to have a washer and dryer with laundry soap. Quiet location and a short drive from town. The bed was comfortable as well.

No milk was provided. No shampoo in the shower. Very uncomfortable & small couch with major stain on one of the cushion. There was no trashcan in the bathroom and the one in the kitchen was too small.

Good location on the way down from Mount Cook. Setting is very quiet with some nice views of the mountains in the distance.

Dated and tired property. Wasn’t very clean e.g black mould in the shower, dirty shower curtain, crumbs on the sofa etc. Unfortunately the washing machine and dryer didn’t work. Sofa is very small and wasn’t comfy. Bit of a shame as it has potential, but didn’t feel good value for money.
