There’s nothing we really disliked. Creaky stairs, garden could do with a facelift. But it’s a dog friendly garden so you would have it to perfect.

Fab stay at Dean House

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Dean House that truly exceeded my expectations. The space itself was immaculate, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities one could need – a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bedding, and a cozy living area. The attention to detail was evident, with thoughtful touches like fresh flowers and a welcome pack with muffins and blankets for the dogs. Communication with the host was seamless, as they were quick to respond to any questions and genuinely interested in ensuring my stay was perfect. Overall, my experience at this Airbnb was fantastic, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable home away from home.

All the facilities I needed and lovely place well kitted out. Chilly in cold weather.

It was well decorated, comfy bed and sofa, and had all the things I needed including milk to make tea. There was a table to work from and a tv in the bedroom to chill. Plenty of storage space and cooking utensils. The bathroom was clean and having a bath was a bonus.

The heating is on a nest thermostat and on the evenings it would turn off and I had to get up every 45 minutes or so to turn it up. (It was during a cold spell when it had snowed). I bought a hot water bottle to make it comfortable sitting downstairs on the evening. I did message the host about this and they said there was a sign showing how to use the heating and I can pay more to have it turned up which I was disappointed by. I booked at late notice due to a work project keeping me for the weekend and after I booked I had to log in and give details including a copy of my driving licence (which I didn’t have with me) and pay a deposit before I could get the keys. I think this should be clearly listed in the advert as this was a burden I wasn’t expecting to have to do and I would have booked another place if I knew this. I managed to find a picture of my passport on my phone to upload, and the hosts did respond quickly and check all was ok with me.

House was lovely, area was quiet garden was good for the kids. Park just around the corner was useful. Bed was super comfy. Location perfect for visiting Yorkshire zoo and York city.

Nothing that we didn't like. Tiny suggestion tho could do with a dish drainer after washing up and tell your cleaner not to leave the damp mop in the cupboard under the stairs as it made it smell in there and the smell got worse as the week went on.

The house was perfect for our family to spend a couple of night visiting friends who live nearby.

Good communication and easy instructions from the owner on where and how to pick up the keys. The house was clean and tidy and had all that we needed for a couple of nights stay.

Michelle and James were excellent hosts, very friendly and accomodating, and always available by text or phone. The location was in a new housing estate which was well kept and within walking distance of a pub and a local shop. Directions to the property were good and private parking for 2 cars easy. Quiet country location with easy access to A1 and M1. Asda store 10 minutes away. The hosts keep their house in immaculate condition.

property was well maintained and was set out perfectly for the family. welcomed us on entry and had everything we needed whilst we stayed there. even some chocolate muffins 😃 beds were well comfortable and the bathroom was lovely too. perfectly sized kitchen with everything we needed and also a washing machine also.

The house was very clean, ideal location, with all the things you would need in the kitchen. Good price as well. The booklet was helpful and muffins on arrival was a nice touch.

The mattress in the master bedroom needs to be replaced as you could feel the springs, one side was worse than the other. Both bedrooms could do with having a bin in, just to make it easier to keep tidy. I would highly recommend replacing the curtains in the other bedroom as the sun comes up that side and the current ones does not keep the light out, which is not ideal with young children.

Great little hidden treasure

They property was perfect for us! We had taken my elderly parents away for the weekend, and it was in a quiet Cul-de-sac. It was clean with lots of little added touches. Firstly when you book the host will call you to see if you have any special requests or requirements and will accommodate anything she is able to. After a 6 hour drive all I wanted was a cup of tea, so to arrive and find milk in the fridge ready and some muffins on the side with a welcome note, was very much appreciated. Would highly recommend foe both the property and the hosts! On the day of arrival you will receive a message with all the information you require to get to the property and how to get in; it couldn’t have been simpler!

Canny little stay

The property was well equipped and for us it was an excellent location too We used the house as a base Bawtry, which was about 10 minute drive had some excellent food places and looked vibrant too We’ll definitely be back

Really enjoyable

Location was perfect for our visit. The area was really quiet, and there is plenty of space for parking. The house itself is lovely, a good size and well equipped. Nicely decorated and furnished. We were surprised, and very pleased to see there was coffee, tea, fresh milk and muffins waiting for us - really nice touch. Will definitely use it again next time we come up.

Only one thing to mention and that it that there were no mirrors in either bedroom. My sister and I both needed to blow dry and straighten our hair so we had to take turns in using the mirror in the living room. Might be an idea to put some in the bedrooms...
