Superb flat and village

Superb flat in terms of standard, amenities, cleanliness, comfort and location. The flat rests on a hilltop 10-15 min walk along the roadside down to the main harbour at Portovenere with all the restaurants and the characteristic shoulder to shoulder colourful block of flats (as seen in the Cinque Terre villages (5T)) along the harbourfront. However, CaseMaggi tenants have access to a private (gated) short cut with stairs taking you through a small wooded area all the way down to the seafront and the local beach. This takes 5 min down the way, but a few more minutes up again :-) Good exercise after a night out eating. The flat lies in a small apartment complex with spectacular views of Portovenere and the bay and the Med sea. Quiet flat and surroundings. It has a long balcony (L-shaped) that is actually much larger than they seem on the photos on the website. Aircondition is a must when vacationing around the Med now in July and August. The flat had two modern and powerful units that gives a cool environment throughout, that can also be assisted by two fan ceilings. The twin bed and the pull-out bed had both excellent mattresses. Kitchen very well equipped and allows for easy cooking. Note that there is a very well stocked mini supermarket in Portovenere; Super Conad, open 8 amto 9 pm daily. Otherwise Portovenere was a great first encounter for us, and with a much more relaxed atmosphere compared to the Cinque Terre villages. Beautiful harbour and waterfront with frequent daily ferries to the 5T villages. You can also take the bus to La Spezia (30 min ride from outside Super Conad) and get trains to the 5T villages; trains go very often and 10 min between villages). Recommend the beaches at Palmaria island, across from Portovenere harbour and only a short 5 min hop with a ferry with very frequent runs. Note that the baches are pebbly and bathing shoes is a must. Will definitly come back to Portovenere and this flat will definitly be our accomodation of choice.

Exceptional

This is an awesome apartment. The view is incredible, the apartment conditions themselves are really comfortable and the with a very nice design. The photos in Booking.com don't make justice, the apartment is bigger and much better that what you can appreciate in the photos. The location is a bit far away from the center of the town but we walked there everyday multiple times a day without any issues. If you want to go to the beach in the town you can take the stairs and arrive there faster (they give you a key to a gated private staircase). In summary, we loved it and would really like to go back.

We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the amazing views, extremely comfortable beds, the kitchen facilities and pantry items available for use. The location was perfect with the bus at the doorstep and a private staircase right down to the beach. Wine, coffee pods & apple juice were supplied and very much appreciated on arrival after a long day of travel. My children have never slept as well as they did with the ability to completely black out the room and the most comfortable beds including the Murphy bed. Maggi & Michael were so helpful during our stay and they have a lovely apartment we will be recommending to friends and family.

Very enjoyable and well located for the town of Portovenere and all it had to offer.

Lovely apartment providing everything you would need. Very well equipped kitchen should you wish to self cater. Good showers and facilities in the bathrooms. Plenty of well appointed sockets. Comfortable bed, good linen . Clean throughout.

A little over looked, but beautiful views from the terrace. Stairs to the apartment could be a problem for some people carrying suitcases.

Beautiful apartment, beautiful view, unforgettable Portovenere

The view from the apartment was breathtaking. Really, that is what makes this place so special. I slept on the sofa bed in the living room (which is super comfortable btw) the two days we were there and watched the sun rise slowly above the sea. The apartment itself is gorgeous, such attention to detail for interior decoration in every room. The host- Maggi- was super helpful, she helped us every step of the way, even reserving us a restaurant for the first night of arrival, from distance.

There was a problem with the heater that was recently installed, but Maggi responded immediately and resolved the issue. She is a really responsive host, impressive!

Dream place with superb view

We loved everything! A massive thank you to Maggi, the host, whom is very prompt to answer and was always super helpful. Her place is stunning: not only is the view sublime, but also every corner of the whole apartment. It is made with great attention to details, has everything one might need (even extra blankets and beach towels), making it a real pleasure to hang out. The location is fab too : easy access to the beach and historical center.

Confortable appartment with a wonderful Sea view

Very nice appartment (renovated recently) with a splendid view on the sea. Good bed, good Wi-Fi, kitchen and bathrooms tastefully renovated. Air conditioning works fine, ventilators aswell. You need to walk a bit to reach Porto Venere but it is good for the health (15 minutes to walk down, walk up depends on you)! There is a public beach a bit closer (Spiaggia dell'Olivo). Very quiet in the night.
