    The Sun River Hand Apartments were a very pleasant surprise, we have stayed previously in the more 'tourist' oriented centre but chose the Sun River location this time. And WOW so much better, quieter, easier to walk the streets and cross streets, it was a little longer walk to the beach, but the exercise was worth the effort. The apartments were very clean and modern, beds comfortable with nice toppers. Value for money you could not be at, and I am not sure where people have whinged about the breakfast, we found it fine and we stayed 12 days. Without doubt will stay again and would recommend.

    This hotel is clean, well run, and safe. The staff was excellent including Long, Anh, Ngoc at the desk, as well as security, housekeeping, and chef. Thank you!

    Sun River was the first hotel that I stayed in when I arrived in Da Nang. I paid for my weeklong stay in advance. When I saw the adult roach (which means that his or her family was nearby), I became terrified since like most women, I am afraid of roaches, rodents, and insects. I knew that if one room had roaches, then the others did too. So, I told them that I wanted to move to another hotel because I am afraid of roaches, and I do not want to carry roaches in my belongings. Their initial friendly demeanor quickly turned rude, vicious, and condescending. They refused to refund me for that night's payment, and three of them stood in the room as if they were the police as I packed up my things. They also rushed me to sign papers and was very mean, nasty, and disgusting in their tones. The men especially. This was almost midnight. Thankfully, I was able to find another hotel (more expensive, but no roaches), and upon my request, the taxi driver who picked me up from the airport came to transport me to the new hotel. He observed how stressed they were making me feel, and he told them to leave the room. They reluctantly left. Three nights prior to that, I was sitting on the hotel bed naked after showering and the manager walked in on me. No knocking. He just walked in to the room. He saw me nude. He apologized, but I still found his action odd and weird, and I slept with one eye open after that and until the night I saw the roach, which for me, was the last straw. I also needed to go to the ATM early in my stay. One of the bellboys offered to take me on his motorbike (this is before I understood the Grab app). I later realized that he charged three times what a Grab driver would have charged. Given all of this, I do not recommend this hotel. The employees will pretend to be nice and friendly, but if you see a roach or have another issue, that friendliness will quickly leave and they will treat you as if you are a criminal. It was a terrible experience. Not to mention the constant construction going on next to the building. I really could have dealt with the other issues, but the roach in the room and them treating me as if I had done something wrong by wanting to move to another hotel was the dealbreaker. Pay the extra money and book a nicer and more modern hotel. Oh! And there was terrible mildew in the shower and a mildew smell to go along with it.
