Torridon Estate B&B Rooms and Self catering Holiday Cottages

It was perfectly remote, had a lovely cat that came to visit, full kitchen and laundry with washer and dryer. House was very large and so were the rooms.

We didn’t have hot water for 2 of the three nights. There were some communication delays with the booking.com site. Radiator heaters didn’t work. I asked on the first night if we had heat and hot water at checkin with the woman who answered the main house door. She said the heat was being worked on. When we got to our cottage on the estate the water was tepid. Sent a message through the booking.com app and was answered that someone would be by the next day to fix it. On return the second day there was no follow up on the app and no change, however we did have portable heaters for the rooms. On the third morning I went to main house on the estate and talked with the owner, who was not the person I spoke to on the first night check in. She responded immediately and we had gloriously hot water that night when we returned.

They didn’t acknowledge our guest’s special 50th anniversary, communication, roof leaking in the hallway out side our door; made up 2 single beds, even though they knew we were a couple, breakfast: dirty cups, egg shells in eggs

Remote and peaceful in beautiful surroundings. Large bedroom.

Nothing to complain about for a 1 night stay

Old style estate home, Very different from the norm; beautiful location and ‘family style’ breakfast in dining room.
