Bedroom - King or Two Twins
This 1 bedroom 1 bath condo has a second-level entry with no elevator, and is located in the heart of Sun Valley Village. The living area has good light with windows all around. There is a 52-inch flat-screen TV with cable and streaming and a gas fireplace. The kitchen is fully stocked with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. There are two bar stools at the countertop. The dining table seats 6 and there is access to a small deck with two chairs and a small table. There is no elevator in the building to get to the second floor where the condo is located. The bedroom can either be a King or two twins. There is a 32-inch flat-screen TV and complex views. The bathroom has a single vanity sink and tub/shower combo. There is a stacked washer and dryer in a closet near the entrance.
Complex Features: The Cottonwood Condominiums are located on Dollar Road just across from the Sun Valley Village. The Sun Valley Pavilion is about two blocks away. This is the best location for convenient access to indoor and outdoor ice-skating rinks, shops, and meeting facilities. The location is known for its privacy and tranquility, featuring a blend of comfort, warmth, and scenery. Landscaping includes ponds and streams on the grounds. Bald Mountain ski lifts are 1.5 miles away and Dollar Mountain ski lifts are 0.5 miles away. Both ski lifts and downtown Ketchum are easily reachable by the Mountain Rides shuttle that stops at the entrance to the Cottonwoods. In the summer the bike path provides miles of scenic biking or walking enjoyment.
Sun Valley Resort Amenities are not included with this property. There is no pool access.

The property manager was very helpful.
The vacation rental was spotless.
I was more than happy with the location.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental.

This unit is on the 2nd level and there's no elevator. I believe the owners live on the 3rd level and they are noisy. We heard them moving around a lot. We heard their toilet flush (right about our living room). We heard their dryer running. Also, be aware the bathroom is tiny - not much bigger than a bathroom on an airplane. Bring your own coffee. TV requires two separate remotes - we couldn't figure out how to turn if off.

We enjoyed our stay in Sun Valley this year (June 2025). The unit was clean and kitchen extremely well equipped. Would have been nice to have a 'welcome' mini-ground coffee (one morning 2-4 people) until we could get to the store. Comfortable sofa, King bed needs to be replaced ('soggy' to sleep on). We will be back (and hope for a new bed)!!

The condo itself was nice and in a nice location. It was in Sun Valley, close to Ketchum, and other experiences. The property was very serene and calming.After-hours service was a different story. We called ahead to plan our check-in around 10pm at night due to the drive. The keys were there and everything appeared to be on track. However the keys did not work. When I called the after hours number, I was treated with disrespect as if I had interrupted their evening.I asked if we had possibly been given the wrong keys and aggressively the woman responded, "I don't know what to do for you. They are the right keys, I double-checked them myself. There are several entrances, so make sure you have the right one." I told them that we followed directions to the second floor, but we would try the keys several more times. After fighting with the door and wandering around the property for another 30 minutes, we called the after-hours number again. "Those are the right keys!" she said again. Annoyed, she responded, "I'll call the maintenance man and see if he can help you get in." Before I could say thank you, she hung up on me. The maintenance person was very nice and informed us that we were given the wrong keys. He was accommodating and professional while apologizing for the mishap. At checkout, there was a very sweet lady who was also accommodating.Overall, I would stay there again only if I was 100% sure that I didn't need after-hours support. I will probably find an air BnB in the future.
