Mouhib Sidi Bou Saïd House

The property is very well maintained and in a great location very close to the Sidi Bou Said centre and the beach. The host is wonderful, Mouhib came to pick us up at the train station and brought us to the property. We also drove us around and showed us how to get the beach, Carthage and the touristic part of Sidi Bou Said. He even left us cookies and a bottle of lemonade in the salon. We really felt like home in Mouhib’s property, he was always available to answer to our questions. If you choose this property you won’t regret it and please bring food for the dark gray cat and her 3 babies downstairs.😊

Emplacement parfait dans un petit quartier calme et à 5min à pied du centre de sidi bou. Nous avons été reçu par Mouhib comme des princesse avec beaucoup de sympathie et de respect. Toujours dispo en cas de question.

Tout était parfait.

Accueil très chaleureux (avec des pâtisseries tunisiennes). Communication fluide avec Mouhib sur WhatsApp. Il a été très flexible sur les horaires d'arrivée et de départ. La situation du logement est parfaite pour visiter Sidi Bou Saïd. Il est possible de se garer gratuitement. Le logement est grand. Shampooing et gel douche sont fournis.

Le logement est un peu vieillot. Les chats peuvent être assez bruyants la nuit, mieux vaut prévoir des bouchons d'oreilles si vous avez le sommeil léger.

The host was very kind and generous, he picked us up to drive us to the accommodation and gave us a tour of the area with good recommendations.The location was excellent, very close to Sidi Bousaid and Carthage and easy access to Tunis by taxi. The beds were comfortable.

There is only air conditioning in the living room, neither bedroom. This makes it very hot and hard to sleep. The air conditioner leaks lots of water on the floor so we had to use towels and buckets to keep it from pooling most of the time. I reported it and the host did nothing other than to say the hose was probably clogged. I ended up taking it apart and unclogging it myself. It then got clogged and started leaking again the next day.The kitchen was very dirty, sticky plates, old cooking oil in a pan left on the stove, appliances with caked on old food and slimy with grease and dirt. It hardly had anything in the way of utensils or cooking necessities. There was also ants in the kitchen. The bathroom had lots of mildew growing around the tub. We got locked out due to the lock not functioning well. The host was kind but the lack of cleanliness and the general disrepair of the place made the stay difficult.
