Kai Malolo was perfect for our family vacation. The fact that it was in a very remote location provided a serene environment where we could rest and relax while not exploring the island. We loved hanging at the pool, sunrises on the lanai, stargazing at night and the amenities were perfect for our family of five. And being only an hour from Volcano's National Park allowed us to witness the eruption of Kilauea during our visit - a spectacular experience that we may have missed if we stayed on another part of the island. We all commented on the unique drive on Govt Beach Road with its Jurassic Park vibe mixed with ocean front views. Highly recommended.

This house is located outside Pāhoa. Privacy was pretty good although it was very noisy for such a remote location (Neighbor, frogs and birds). The house itself was comfortable and you can walk out to the waters edge where there are chairs to relax in, super cool!

Home in Paradise! We enjoyed our stay here so very much. From the moment you arrive you feel safe and right at home. The house has everything you would need to stay comfortable. The ocean breeze through the windows kept us all cool, no need for the a/c at all. The pool was absolutely wonderful and refreshing. We enjoyed the views from the cliffside too. Perfect location to Volcano and Hilo Hotspots. We will miss the singing coqui serenading us to sleep. Maholo!

The house is lovely, and the grounds are beautiful~~and the ocean views are spectacular! We saw breaching whales and baby whales, Honu (sea turtles) from the lava rock lookout. The pool is great as well and could only be better if there was a handrail. We will be back!
