Sea Breeze Retreat is the perfect beach home! This 2 bedroom 1 bath updated 1920 vintage beach house has views of the ocean from the kitchen and front yard. Sun filled living room and dining area seats up to 6 with a separate eating nook that seats 3. Encased by a wall of tropical bamboo, you can gather with family in the backyard for a meal or in front around the picnic table. The master bedroom has a garden like setting and a Queen bed, large closet, desk area, and a flat screen TV. The 2nd bedroom sleeps up to 3 with a Queen bed and single pull chair bed. Fold out couch in the living room provides extra sleeping space for 1 or 2. Updated with a contemporary kitchen. It even features off-street parking for up to 2 cars! Just 2.5 blocks to Bermuda Beach overlook along the cliffs next to the famous Sunset Cliffs Nature Park.

Meal time? The updated Stainless Steel kitchen allows you to cook while watching the sunset out the eating nook windows. Large loads of laundry? Great location in residential zone off main roads

Wonderful hostess, and beautiful home. The house is well kept with a nice size living and dining space and sitting areas in front and backyard that are functionally extra rooms given San Diego weather. The house is perfect size for two couples, or a family of 4-6 with small kids. Residential area but just a couple blocks away from main thoroughfares to get in and out of Sunset Cliffs. We used as a home base for seeing sites across all of San Diego/La Jolla/SD County and were very happy with the location. The cliffs are 2 blocks down the hill and are even better than you expect for sunsets. No good swimming access at cliffs; go a mile up the road to Ocean Beach or (our preference) drive to Coronado or La Jolla if you want a beach day. Other close-by highlights for us were: Cabrillo Monument on Point Loma (best views I know about); Sea World (which has done a great job of transitioning to a family friendly themed amusement park with a lot of rides for ages 4-10 and about four really great coasters for ages 12-adult); sports/park green spaces at the end of Sunset Cliffs Blvd; and nice restaurant scene in Ocean Beach. These are the close ones but really everything in the city is like a 15 minute drive so … enjoy! Lisa was great for communication and clearly cares a lot about the property. You are dealing with a friendly SD local not a real estate company. Highly recommend, 5 star stay all around.

This well-maintained home exceeded our expectations. Lisa, the owner, stopped by to make sure we were enjoying our stay and made sure that everything was perfect. It was refreshing to have a kitchen with all the appliances, dishes, and cookware we needed. It felt like home away from home.

Wonderful home in a quiet neighborhood. Kids had all the toys and space when we were home. When we stepped out, we were close to everything we came to to see in San Diego including the Point Loma lighthouse, USS Midway Museum, and both Ocean and Mission beaches. Beautiful nearby cliffs and daily sunsets, and excellent area for morning runs.

The home is lovely, spacious, and is well equipped for comfort and cooking. If you don’t want to cook you are in walking distance to wonderful restaurants and breweries. We arrived very late but lights at the front of the house were one which made our arrival so much easier than arrived in the dark for the first time. The cottage was perfect, very cute, welcoming and cosy. Exactly what we were looking for. Perfect size, very comfortable and clean. Pictures are exactly as the reality. Everything worked. The back yard was also great, specially that it was a very sunny week and our little doggies loved to sniff around. The cottage is also in a very quiet street, closed to the beaches, restaurants, shopping area. We had a wonderful week and wished we could stay longer. Thank you Lisa, our host. It makes such a difference when your host is friendly, warm and available if you need her. I really recommend 100% her cottage to everybody looking for a cute, comfortable cottage in Ocean Beach, closed to the water. This gem of a house is tucked away in a darling neighborhood close to beaches, stores, downtown, restaurants, and the pier. Our stay was amazing; we needed nothing more than what the house offered. We walked everywhere! The week went too quickly. I have to say, this experience is one of my favorite vacation excursions. I cannot wait to return.

This home was a real find! It was so comfortable and clean! It had a great use of space and the storage was great. The furnishings and art were perfect for the space... very eclectic and fun. The overall aesthetic was cozy and warm, very 20's bungalow with modern amenities. The neighborhood was quiet and just a few blocks away from the bustle of OB/Newport Avenue. You have room to have your own space as well, so our family of four was easily accommodated which made the space feel more like our home for the week.. it had everything you need for a great stay in OB !

My family and I had a lovely stay. I'm already trying to arrange for another visit. This holiday home is exactly what it appears to be in the profile. It was clean, stocked with necessities, comfortable, and all around lovely. My sister and I walked to the beach every day. There was no point in driving. In fact, we walked daily to our favorite coffee shop, and caught a mouth watering bite of authentic mexican just next door. The neighborhoods are beautiful, and the neighbors are extremely friendly. Lisa, the owner, proved herself to be helpful even when she didn't have to be. Her character really shines through in the house. A true gem this place is! Thanks so much Lisa!

We absolutely loved everything about our stay here. Lisa's home felt like "home" away from home, it's adorable, spacious, clean and comfortable- not to mention a few blocks from the gorgeous cliffs and sunset views. We travelled from the east coast and wanted a place that family and friends could come to us (we had a 2.5 month old with us) - and this house exceeded expectations- Barbi runs the cleaning and concierge and she was so lovely - having travelled with a newborn cross country we were hoping to get checked in and settled earlier than the check in time and she went above and beyond to help us with that- she also had a ton of great recommendations for us in the area. We were so sad to leave this little oasis- already plotting our return trip!

I stayed at this home to visit with my daughter who lived in Ocean Beach. It was very bright and cheery facing the south sun. The beds were the best! Loved all the comfy pillows. I took pictures of some of the artwork hanging because it was so unique! I love to cook, and I found everything I needed in this lovely kitchen. The back yard was a real plus, as my daughter lives in a small apartment. We grilled and sat and enjoyed our cocktails on the furniture, while listening to the pretty birds with the sun on our faces. Just a short walk brings you to the beaches and gorgeous sunsets!

This property is located about three blocks from the starting edge of Sunset Cliffs and just under a mile walk to the center of Ocean Beach (an easy and pleasant walk, which we did a few times). The house itself was extremely clean and well-outfitted (TVs, internet, bathroom and kitchen necessities, etc). Nice refinished wood floors, good furniture, and excellent window coverings that easily opened and closed. The house has obviously been freshly renovated and the yard (front and back) is manicured. Even the porch and driveway was freshly painted. The backyard made for a pleasant sitting area (outdoor furniture was a nice touch). We never turned on the TVs during our stay, but we did use the internet, and it was fast and flawless. Of the several VRBOs we've rented over the years, this had the best bed linens and towels. Seems like a small thing, but admittedly I was getting pretty sick of seeing swap meet linens and towels at VRBO rentals. Like I said, everything was very clean and inviting, and a lot of stuff was brand new. FYI - We were a family of four (two teenage kids) and no complaints from anyone. I'm a San Diego native that unfortunately had to relocate years ago due to work, so we did have my extended family over to visit on a couple of occasions, and this house provided the perfect setting (although we never got desperate for parking and mostly just parked in the street, you could probably fit three cars in the driveway, which is all yours). This was a little on the pricey side for us, but in retrospect, I'm glad we went ahead with it. Better than I expected and highly recommended.
