About this house rental
Cozy, private, semi secluded home in Frenchman's Bay atop Hawk Hill offering gorgeous 180-degree ocean views from balcony, kitchen, LR and BR as balcony spans entire south side of house. Can see sailboats, cruise ships coming and going, and especially St. Croix on a clear day. West side offers beautiful sunset views.
Quiet, and away from hustle and bustle of Charlotte Amalie yet short ride for shopping and dining such as Havensight, Yacht Haven Grande, and in-town. Popular restaurants includes Iggy's Beach Bar, Delly Deck, Greenhouse, Blue 11 and Gladys' Cafe.
2 bedroom house comfortably accommodates 2 couples with sleeper sofa for 1-2 additional guests in living room. Each bedroom has its own private bath. Ceiling fans in every room. Air conditioning in LR. French doors off LR, MBR and dining area with screens that allows gentle trade winds to keeps house comfortable.

The house was very clean. It had everything in it that you would need. The view was breathtaking. The beds was very comfortable. I would stay there again. The host was very helpful. Thank you for allowing me to stay at your home.

My stay at Karen's property in St. Thomas offered a mix of breathtaking island views and notable challenges that future guests should consider. First, the positives: the views from the property are truly spectacular, capturing a panoramic vista that is hard to top. Karen is also a very responsive host, quick to answer any queries and assist where she can.
However, there are some important drawbacks to note. Access to the property is via a steep, narrow road that is in poor condition. An all-wheel-drive vehicle is a necessity, not a luxury here, so be prepared for a tricky drive.
Another significant issue was the lack of air conditioning in the bedrooms. The fans provided did little to alleviate the heat, making for uncomfortable, often interrupted sleep due to the warmth. If you are sensitive to heat, especially at night, this is a critical point to consider.
Additionally, we encountered a problem with the kitchen door leading to the outside; it was defective and difficult to secure. The presence of mosquitoes was also noteworthy, especially when trying to enjoy the beautiful views from the terrace; they were almost enough to ruin the experience.
While the stunning views and responsive hosting are definite pluses, the challenges we faced could impact the overall comfort of your stay. This is a wonderful spot if you’re prepared for a bit of adventure and don’t mind the heat, but those looking for a more serene island retreat might find these issues significant.
