Lofoten Fjord Lodge

Sehr schönes Haus. Die Lage ist perfekt um die Lofoten zu erkunden. Der Surfstrand Unstad Beach, wo es auch die "besten Cinnamon Rolls" der Welt gibt, ist nur 2 min entfernt. Die Ausstattung des Hauses ist sehr geschmackvoll. Wir waren zu zweit dort und haben die Zeit sehr genossen. Der Gastgeber war sehr freundlich und hat uns mit guten Tipps zur Anreise und dem Aufenthalt weitergeholfen. Eine Wiederholung ist fest eingeplant.

Struttura situata in un paesino a poca distanza dalle E10 e a 15 minuti da Leknes (supermercati), al centro delle Lofoten (circa 1 ora da Reine e 1 ora da Svolvaer, noi abbiamo usato questa casa come unica base per 5 notti). Vista MAGNIFICA dalla ampie vetrate, una a nord e una a sud e con un po’ di fortuna si può vedere anche l’aurora boreale direttamente dalla casa. Cucina per fornita e proprietario gentile e disponibile.

We had an amazing stay in Helge’s very cool cabin. Quite unassuming from outside but it’s got an amazing internal layout, with lots of windows & skylights. Definitely has a heavy dose of wow factor so we were all pretty pleased with this choice. The location is beautiful, too, which makes all of the windows even more appreciated as you have stunning views in all directions, even from your bed when you wake up in the morning. Our boys shared a bedroom down on the ground floor (the house is 3 levels), which was good as we all had a bit of privacy when in bed. We had 4 nights here & we got to enjoy the Northern lights on 3 of these nights, right from the front & rear decks of the house, so it’s a great spot for viewing the NL. It was well situated, within a few minutes’ drive to the nearest little supermarket, but secluded enough to not have the neighbours right next to you. We were about an hour’s drive away from the 2 hikes we did while in Lofoten: Reinebringen & Ryten. We can thoroughly recommend both of these, even our kids (12 & 9) managed them just fine. So much beauty in all directions in this part of the world!!

The property was great. We noticed a couple of kitchen utensils which we thought could have been useful additions to the kitchen there & have conveyed this to the owner. I wasn’t a huge fan of the centralised lighting controls (our kids struggled a bit with the downstairs lights) but it was fine after we figured it all out.

The views

The layout, so so so uncomfortable. Too crowded with furniture for the limited space. Bathroom on ground floor, kitchen and dining on first floor and master bedroom on top floor. Extremely uncomfortable if you’re travelling with old parents or children.
