About this house rental
On a private beach road away from the sometimes hectic scene of East Hampton (5 miles away), this home will soothe and restore you.
3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms with a back patio which faces a protected dune area with no homes to disturb the serenity.
The beach is literally 250 steps away. This is a big advantage over houses in the 'lanes' and North of Highway 27 as you have the luxury of going back to the house throughout the day with ease. And the quietness of a private beach.
Other homes not so situated require a drive to a public beach where you'll feel planted for the day so as not to loose a parking space!
The house has gas BBQ, washer and dryer, dishwasher, microwave. 3 televisions includes a living room flatscreen / DVD player. Internet access and whole house wi-fi. Central vacuum system and central air conditioning -- hard to find in some rentals!
It comes with bicycles and beach chairs and umbrella. Towels and linens all provided.
Literally bring beach clothes and start to relax.
For those who want the occasional big city fix, frequent bus and train service will wisk you into New York City in a matter of hours. The train station and bus stop is a comfortable 20 minute walk from the house.

We could not recommend this rental more highly. We will absolutely be back. My wife and 2 young children spent a magical 2 weeks at this Amagansett beach house last August. I think back often on our wonderful stay. The beach, of course, is unrivaled and a short walk away (close enough for very short legs as well). Half our days were spent lounging on the empty beach (which is far enough away from Atlantic Beach that it feels almost like your personal beach); the other half were spent either lounging at the house or making day trips by bike (supplied by Chris) to town. The house was spacious enough for all 4 of us and even accommodated overnight stays by a couple friend. Chris keeps the house immaculate and it offers all you could want or need for a comfortable and relaxing stay (even on the occasional rainy day). Of course, you will be spending most of your time outside and eating your meals af fresco in the shaded garden behind the house. We grilled 13 out of our 14 dinners with fish bought from the fabulous local fish market. Chris is a wonderful and very accessible host, who is very attentive to your needs and makes wonderful recommendations for dining, shopping and general recreation. The biggest problem you will have this rental is saying goodbye at the end of your stay.
