The lodge was everything we expected and more,we really liked where we were situated we where really close to the Livingston shopping centre which we really enjoyed the shopping experience and how close we where to places we wanted to visit,and also the places for us to eat out which we did quite a few days and night's there wasn't anything the six of us didn't like,our daughter was impressed by how many of the place's we ate at catered for her with her being gluten free and coeliac she had a really full menu to choose from

Beautiful scenery in the area, quiet.

The dining for 6 people is rather tricky on the table provided. Fire wood provided was rather wet.

The cottage itself was very nicely decorated, the bathroom was a decent size, and two of the bedrooms had their own toilets and sinks and there were two separate showers which made it easier with six adults staying. The area around the cottage is very picturesque, and getting the keys was very easy. The cottage itself looks lovely, with a nice amount of cleaning utensils left for us to use.

We specified in the "any other information" section that all three couples had one person who had feather allergies, and asked for no feather bedding. This was not answered and when we arrived, all the beds had feather duvets and pillows, which meant we had to go out and buy all new bedding (duvets, pillows, sheets and cover cases.) and thoroughly hoover the beds, if we knew before hand that they were unable to provide other bedding, we would have brought our own from England all three of the ones with allergies had a really poor nights sleep the first night due to the dander. There were only four mugs for hot drinks, so we had to have hot beverages in shifts. The main bathroom with the bath had a broken seal around the shower screen so water sprayed and soaked the floor every time it was used. We had to use a full bath towel to soak it all up after everyone had their showers. In the first bedroom that you come too, behind the bed was a broken electrical socket with live wires behind it, which is a major health and safety risk. We had to pull the bed away from the wall to avoid electrocution. We only knew about it as we moved the bed while changing the feather bedding. It is poorly signed for which cottage is which and how to get to the different areas. Two of us ended up arriving when it was dark seen as it's winter and we were traveling a fair way, and drove straight past the cottage, Sat Navs took us to the Stables, which wasn't where we were staying. It felt quite cramped in the living space, as it was a lot smaller than it appeared on the photos. Again it was decorated really nicely, but there was only a sofa that fitted two, and two arm chairs either side. The other two people had to perch on the arms of the sofa or pull the dining table chairs over. The space where the dining table was wasn't practical to bring out and put all six chairs out to eat around either.
