Accommodation - The accommodation is EXCELLENT, a real standout! Architecturally amazing. The interiors are equally as amazing. Very thoughtful and eclectic. We stayed in a room on the 2nd floor with a skylit shower, it was beautiful. The bed, air-conditioning and shower were very comfortable too. Loads of books for readers, aside from that not much on property to do other than relax. its a great place for a slow start or ending point of your holiday. Host & Attractions - Negombo isn't crazy big on things to do, as its often a transitionary point for most tourists, however Ashane recommended us to some lovely places to visit and eat and drink (Fish market: messy, chaotic and alive and beautiful old church St Mary's). Ashane and his wife as hosts were wonderful, and if you care to sit down a little while, lovely conversationalists as well. They took their time to curate every single detail, and when you check out, you get to do a wonderful little art activity with them. Food - We did not get the breakfast from the accommodation, Tea and Coffee are served complimentary. You can order food from the nearby restaurant through Ashane. We ordered a feast of Basmati rice, Paneer butter masala, Vegetable Kottu, Hot Butter Cuttlefish (best I had in the country for 14 days) and Black Mutton curry, all for a total of approx $30 USD for 2 people (10,000 LKR), we wouldn't say its cheap, but you really get high quality food if thats what you're looking for. Outside of the accommodation, we also had a lovely sit down fine dining experience at CLUB Ceylon which makes visiting Negombo worth it, as its actually the best seafood (European-style) restaurant in the whole of Sri Lanka.

There wasn't much that me and my partner did not like. Power outages sometimes did happen, as throughout Sri Lanka, but never for long. Ashane was always a text away and power kicks in again pretty quickly.

Ashane and his wife were very welcoming and helpful with everything during our stay. First time in Sri Lanka and they really set the bar high for the rest of our trip. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and to start off our honeymoon.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The accommodation was exceptional from start to finish — beautifully presented with immaculate attention to detail, spotlessly clean, comfortable, safe and secure for all types of travellers and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The location was fantastic for coming to and from the airport. The owners really made the experience feel special. Definitely worth more than what you pay. I would personally like to thank Ashen, wife and the staff for their hard work and effort to making everyone feel so welcome. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. We would highly recommend this accommodation and would happily stay here again. Truly a 5-star experience!
