I actually booked this thinking i was near to the venue we were going every day for a week yes it was a bit away but don't regret it the cottage made it all worth it loved everything about it and would recommend it and price very good.

Spotless & Welcoming - Minnie’s Cottage

We had a wonderful 5-night stay at Minnie’s Cottage and couldn’t have asked for more. The property was absolutely spotless on arrival & the information folder was so useful as it explained how everything works within the cottage. Its location was perfect for us, as it gave easy access to visit family in both Meigh and Newry. The welcome pack was such a thoughtful touch and very much appreciated after our journey. John & Joan, the owners, went above and beyond to assist us with any of the requests we had during our stay - their hospitality truly stood out. The cottage itself is full of charm & history, well-equipped, and provides a peaceful base to relax after a busy day. The wood burning stove was a big hit in the evenings for a cosy ambiance (note: the central heating works perfectly well & keeps the house warm should you not want the fire lit). We would highly recommend Minnie’s Cottage to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-situated place to stay. I’ve stayed in numerous houses / apartments via booking.com (and other sites) over the last 10+ years, and Minnie’s Cottage is definitely one of my top five favourites !

Some caution is required when driving in/out of the property but that certainly wouldn’t put us off booking again , after all the area has lots of little country roads / homes that have the same issue

The cottage had absolutely everything you need in a home from home and the owners welcome was very professional and caring. Uncomplicated entry and exit added to the very enjoyable experience.

Wonderful relaxing week in which to recharge my batteries and catch up with extended family.

Location was great and provided an ideal base for me to visit family within the local area. Loved the log burner and garden and quiet and beautiful setting. Very comfortable cottage, very cosy

Unexpected delightful cottage!

Lovely location and beautiful scenery. The cottage had a lot of character. Also a good location for travelling around the north east/east part of the island of Ireland. Hopefully will be back again and would love to experience a stay in winter to experience the cosiness of the cottage.

For some reason some of the internal doors couldn't close fully. This should be looked into.

A perfect holiday.

Perfect cottage in ideal location at the foot of Sleibh Gullion. Within walking distance from Killeavy Castle - excellent for meals and the odd pint of Guinness. Glorious scenery. We hope to return soon.

House was very comfortable and well equipped with lovely views of nearby Killeavy Castle. The welcome pack provided was very welcome and much appreciated. John (the owner) was very accommodating, we would highly recommend.

The location was great - easy access to north and south Ireland. The cottage was perfect for a 91 year old with limited mobility. The fixtures and fittings are of high quality and the heating system is easy to use.
