Style and Comfort in downtown Lisbon

I’ve stayed in a lot of places and I think this was the best organized of anywhere in the world The unit- it’s up 3 or 4 flights but I’m 63 and had no issues, so, if you can’t do that then maybe skip Lisbon because the city itself is filled with hills Hot water, two Juliet balconies (so great fresh air) and EXCELLENT southern Italian restaurant down the hill, metro not far I’d definitely recommend this unit

Although the apartment was a 30min walk to the center, there were some lovely little bars and some nice restaurants in the neighborhood (the Italian 2mins from the apartment is amazing!). The apartment was comfortable and very quiet...a bottle of red wine was there when I arrived which was a nice touch. Kitchen well stocked with utensils etc (I didn't use any of them but handy if needed). Bed comfy and nice little balcony although it gets very hot in there as its an internal one (not open).

You are sent an app to use so you can open the street door and then the second door - the key box is at the main door (so 3 doors to navigate to get into the apartment - which is on the 3rd (top) floor). I found it easy enough however it could be tricky for some people. Relying on the phone app caught me out one day, as my phone battery died and I couldn't get into the 2nd door (to use the app) so had to go and find a charger in a near by bar. Useful note....maybe write the code down on a piece of paper so this doesn't happen to you. The air con didn't work either - I messaged the host straight away on discovering this and he said to use the manual but it still wasn't working after a while trying to get it on so just left it - it wasn't too hot so it wasn't a big deal for me (just something to bear in mind if your going in peak heat times). Also...be careful with the deposit and the 'additional fees'....when I sent my 300euro deposit via PayPal I used the Friends & Family so not to incur any fees (and also for the host not to) but on receipt of my deposit, I received around £25 less due to the exchange rate which was very disappointing, I spoke to PayPal and they explained this was due to the exchange rate but just be mindful of this as its not explained when you transfer the money. Also....be careful if you book/pay online in advance (and you have already paid the city tax)...I paid in advance but was still asked my the host to pay an additional "tourism tax"...I spoke to booking.com and they said this is definately not to be paid (if already) so be very conscious of this. The neighborhood grew on me but I def felt very anxious walking home one night alone when it was dark (30min walk from centre)...so I tended to stick near the apartment if I stayed out later - as mentioned above there are some lovely little bars and restaurants close to the apartment.

La distribución, decoración y limpieza

El dueño, no es agradable, es muy difícil la comunicación con él. La luz saltaba continuamente y había que salir fuera del apartamento a subir los plomos. El dueño no hizo nada, incluso se molestó por nuestra queja.
