28 Tram Central Apartment (C40)

The apartment was nice and clean. The description on VRBO should include there are 80 steps up to the 5th floor and no elevator. The location was good to walk to Rossio Square,Afalma, Time Out Market and other areas in historic Lisbon although the walks can be 20-30 minutes. We love to walk so this was not an issue. There is a Lidl grocery store a block away and a Pingo Doce grocery & cafes maybe 3 blocks away. The check in process was a bit confusing as the check in location is 15 minutes by car from the apartment. A key box on the apartment would be very helpful. This is what similar VRBO’s we stayed in Portugal had. The person who checked us in was nice and helpful though. A couple things - we had to purchase paper towels as there was no kitchen towel. We used the bathroom hand towel for a bath mat because the floors were slick and there was no bath mat and we purchased toilet paper as there were only 2 small rolls for 4 nights and 5 days.These may be minor housekeeping issues though. It can be noisy (car and sirens) up until about midnight but if you close the bedroom windows it will eliminate a decent amount of the noise. Overall the apartment was clean and comfortable and we are fit enough to go up and down the 5 flights of stairs.

Wonderful apartment and really enjoyable time in Lisbon!

Comfortable, clean apartment, just like the pictures. Easy check in,friendly helpful host. Easy walking distance to the downtown. Quiet at night.I would definitely recommend this apartment. Great little Nepalese restaurant across the street and a small market.” It is a long climb to the 5th floor! It would be a problem for some that might have trouble with stairs, but worth the effort.

The property itself was nice, however; the location was a bit out of the way and far from many of the activities and locations we were interested in visiting. The check-in process was very difficult. We did not know until the day before that we would have to go to a separate location to pick/up the keys for the property. The location was a 15 minute drive from the actual property and because we were not able to go until late in the day due to the fact that the keys were not available until after 4pm, we ended up missing our boat for we had scheduled and lost 100 euros.overall, we stayed at 3 properties in Portugal and this was certainly the most difficult time experience.
