Bar & Stay Yuzaka is a special place to enjoy the beauty Japan. The owners are lovely and welcoming from the moment you arrive. They renovated an old ryokan with eco-friendly mindset. Everything from bedding to the food is conscious and healthy, and local. And they have a fantastic onsen bath! Highly recommended and looking forward to return.

I love staying at a guest house like this where you can chat with the owners. The owners are friendly and the food was excellent. We had a very delicious vegan dinner with very good wine. The building is a great combination of old and new Japan with a superb hot spring bath and comfortable beds. There are very thoughtful touches like free coffee beans and a coffee mill in the guest kitchen you can use when you like.
No complaints. Ensuite bathrooms would be nice but then you'd expect to pay a lot more and the bathroom facilities were very high quality anyway... We were more than satisfied and plan to stay again.

There is the local public onsen bath just in front of the house. In addition they have their own private onsen hut. The bar is also amazing. We did enjoy Kititanpo hot pot with BYO wines.
