Lovely hostel with kitchen so simple free breakfast was served plus option to buy a lovely homemade meal for dinner. Large area for socializing. Close to bus stop where you can catch buses to the gorge, pond , and mountains. The visit to the shrine on the lake was peaceful. Also good kitchen facilities to cook for yourself. Staff and guests were kind and helpful.

Beautiful location near to the lake. Discounted access to onsen hotel bath next door. Quirky old building. Honesty bar. The food smelt delicious (I arrived too late to order).
Kitchen could have been better equipped. Couldn't find any cutlery or chopsticks. Luckily I had some disposable ones I'd picked up in a konbini.

Beautiful scenery. Home-like place.
The pillow was a bit hard.

Location was good. Free breakfast. Comfortable beds. Slippers were really comfy.
Toilets were not the cleanest. Mostly squatting toilets. There is no soap in the bathroom. Only one shower.
