PLAYA: SMACK ON BEACH/MULTI-SERVICE RESORT: Roomy 3-Bedroom 3-Bath 2-Balconies

Great location, with a partial view of the beach. Small/ relaxed but well equipped hotel with great pools and meals. Gated and well taken care of neighborhood that is walkable distance cell the mall and 5ta Avenida. Apartment is spacious and kitchen is well equipped. Max was very responsive. Overall good experience.A couple of points that we would have appreciated being better: wasn’t the cleanest when we got there and the AC unit in one of the rooms was hit or miss on functionality which resulted in a couple of nights without AC even after a technician went there for some basic trouble shooting. After having communicated the problem with Max however, a technician was sent pretty promptly, but problems recurred.

It was such a beautiful holiday even though there were mountains of seaweeds on the beach but still we loved the apartment, the hotel, the swimming pool, the location and the last couple of days where we were able to swim inside the sea.We always do all inclusive and we found this option extremely good too, where we have the option to go to playa del carmen and enjoy its restaurants and its beach. The only negative things about the apartment: the bad mattresses in the room that has two beds, the loud sound of the AC engine which affected our sleep badly first night and the bad knives and peelers. So it was challenging peeling the skin of carrots and fruits for our baby. Apart from that, the fact that we were very close to everything so you can call the kids from the balcony and get back upstairs quite quickly if you forget anything, was just easy and very comfortable. The communication was very efficient with the landloard. All the services were perfect, the towels inside the apartment were sufficient. The snack bar inside the hotel is very good. We were surrounded by small supermarkets to get the majority of the main things that we needed, like milk, cheese, eggs, etc.

Wonderful space for our family of 6. Kids had a wonderful time on the beach and the pool. We had a wonderful, beautiful, comfy vacation. 10/10.

Artful furnishings throughout. Spacious and comfortable. You can see and experience the ocean 50 feet away. You sit on the balcony or in the living room and hear the ocean. I live in Rhode Island and it was extreemly cold here so it was great to be in low 80 degree temperatures. Rain, when in comes, tended to be short sprinkles. I had it twice in 2 weeks. The breakfast buffet is great and a bargain. The lobby bar has great wine choices. You can walk the beach for hours. I got a tan without sitting directly in the sun. Walk into town via the beach. The town still has some Mexican magic. Fisherman's staff are all gracious and helpful. I would come again in a heartbeat.
