Center Orange house

Good central location in Cesis - ideal for exploring the town. Owner allowed us to leave our cases in the porch beyond check-out time which made exploring much easier.

The house had everything we wanted. There was plenty of space, it was clean and the location was perfect.

New towels would be great.

One of the bathrooms was missing a key to lock from inside. The TVs had only a few boring channels and were lacking cable TV or Internet connectivity for more entertainment options.

Location is walking distance to town and seems secure. Parking in front of the house was easy. The home itself was spacious, relatively modern, and clean, and there was enough space for four of us to sit in the living room and the kitchen. Access was easy using code and key lockbox, and communication with the proprietor was also relatively easy.

The house feels just barely furnished enough to live in, with few of the comforts that make it feel pleasant and cozy to be inside. No rugs, bare walls, cheap furniture haphazardly arranged, etc. Kitchen has just enough cookware to make a simple meal on the stove; no ovenware. No washer, and note that one of the beds (either a double or queen) is a sofa bed (although one of us found it comfortable enough, another said it would not have worked for him). The price at least seemed proportional to the comfort level. Worth noting: The house is located right next to an auto shop, but this did not cause a noise or any other problem -- just a matter of aesthetics, which many people might not care about. Also, a neighbor practices drums for hours in the afternoon/evening. He seems very talented -- and good for him for practicing! -- and we did not hear him late at night. Just worth being aware of this as a prospective renter.
