About this apartment rental
The Casa San Martino is typically "marchigiano": a completely restructured old Rustico of the Marche, which once belonged to the Convent of San Martino as a detached farmhouse. It lies at the foot of the medieval mountain town of Arcevia on a hill from which it offers a unique panoramic view in all directions.
The ground floor apartment of the property is rented. The apartment includes a large garden (2000 m2) to be used only by the tenants and a covered loggia in front of the bakery. The heated pool (12x6x1.40 m) as well as the historic oven for pizza baking and an additional shower room in the outbuildings can also be used by the landlords, if these are on site.
The Casa San Martino is lovingly and comfortably furnished. The terraces of the spacious estate, the garden and the pool invite you to forget everyday life and to enjoy the holidays in this beautiful environment.
The tastefully decorated main apartment offers a spacious living room (about 70 m2) with leather sofa, satellite TV and stereo, a large dining table and an open kitchen. It has two bedrooms, each with a double bed. Attached to the main apartment, but with a separate entrance, there is another bedroom for three people with a bunk bed and a single bed.
The kitchen is fully equipped with gas stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, a coffee machine, plenty of crockery and cutlery and drinking and wine glasses.
Free wireless internet access is available in all rooms and throughout the property.
The nearest shops:
- Coal (well stocked supermarket with meat and vegetable counter) in Conce (3 minutes by car)
- Bakery, butcher, greengrocer, tobacconist, other grocery stores in Arcevia (7 minutes by car)
- Conad (large supermarket with meat and fish counter) in Serra de 'Conti (15 minutes by car)
The delicious regional cuisine, the good wine (Verdicchio, Rosso Conero and an autochthonous red wine treats, the Lacrima di Morro d 'Alba), many nearby historic towns, the Adriatic Sea and the nearby mountains of the Apennines, countless hiking, biking and excursion possibilities also contribute to the well-being and a successful holiday stay.
We rent weekly (7 nights); in exceptional cases, other arrangements are possible outside the high season on request.

We had a lovely stay at Casa San Martino, celebrating ferragosto using the wood burning stove, and enjoying the grassy space and refreshing pool with beautiful views. Our children loved it, and so did we. About a 30 minute drive from Senigallia so we also enjoyed a day at the sea. We hope to return again! Grazie!

We had a wonderful stay in Arcevia. The house is beautifuly located on the top of a hill. With an incredible view on Arvevia annd the surroundings. The garden is beautiful and very private, just as the pool!
The house is well equiped.
The extra room outside the house is rather old and small to fit three persons.
Some things in the house are ready for renewal.
And you should not be a cleaning freak. But for us it was a detail during a very nice holiday

Mooie grote woning, precies zoals omschreven in de advertentie. Ja het is afgelegen maar met het mooie zwembad prima een week te verblijven. Leuke dorpjes in de buurt en ook een wijnproeverij gedaan.

We had an okay stay in the house. It is an old stonehouse in the mountains. The room with three beds outside the main apartment was not ideal, you could not sleep in it without having the windows open due to the smell. But due to the broken mosquito nets open windows let to other issues. We slept in it for one night but the second night we found a scorpion in the room and then decided that was it for us in that room. The mosquito nets were broken in most rooms which made it easy for insects to come inside. As to the main apartment, I would say that the house needs a lot of tender, love and care. The towels provided were very small so we had to buy our own. It was not very clean, there were spider webs everywhere. We had one good knife in the kitchen. The pans were old and really dirty. As to the pool, in the ad it was stated that it was heated but it was no more than between 20-23 degrees during the time we were there, even the kids thought it was too cold. It was also not mentioned that the pool was only approximately 90cm deep.The water pressure in the shower was very uneven, sometimes it worked okay and sometimes not at all.It was also not clear that is more of an apartment than a house, you live under other people and it was quite noisy.Communication with the owner was okay, at one time I tried calling to ask how the oven work but could not reach them until the next day. In general the price is okay but it unfo doesn’t make up for the negatives.
