1. Cleanliness was perfect. The maid comes in every day at 10:00 to clean and does it well. I coult have licked the floor if I wasn't so busy devuring ungody quantities of pizza and gelato. 2. The location is less than a kilometre from the closest old city gate. 3. The neighbourhood was peaceful and quiet. Yes, the walls are as if made of paper, but nobody nearby made any significant noise for the 7 days we stayed. 4. The room we stayed in, Garisenda, has a balcony with a pleasant view of the local park. 5. The wi-fi was speedy. 6. The bed was not uncomfortable. 7. The staff did everything required of them by law. Well, at least I was told so by the staff, but I'm no expert in Italian law.
1. The demanded amount of tourist tax seems a bit suspicious. According to the Official Bologna Tourist Information Centre (https://www.bolognawelcome.com/en/information/tourist-tax-in-bologna), the tourist tax for a room of this price, per person per night, should be €4, but we had to pay €6.5. The difference wasn't worth arguing (I still tried because we're poor, to no avail), so we just paid, but it's weird. 2. The fridge is located in the shared lobby and extremely small, especially having in mind it's shared by 3 rooms. We felt guilty filling it up every day by ourselves, but occasionally eating supermarket food, rather than in restaurants, saves a lot of money. 3. The bathroom window shutter can't close fully. If anyone wanted, they could have gazed at us from the bus stop one floor below. Fortunately, we were too boring. 4. Based on the pictures, we were convinced the room had one bed and one sofa, but the one we were rented only had one large bed. This would not be a problem for most couples, but my girlfriend is an extremely light sleeper and would prefer sometimes having the option of a separate bed -- especially after I've eaten ungodly quantities of pizza and gelato. 5. The contents of my girlfriend's backpack were rummaged through after a cleaning on day 1. As the maid doesn't understand English, we tried asking her not to do that in broken Anglo-Franco-Latin-Italian, and she either understood, or was more subtle next time. To her credit, we found nothing missing, and we're too poor and Balkan to have any valuables anyway.

It was clean, the bed was comfortable and everything worked, great for a short period and only if your eating in the city (which you should as the food was brilliant and the prices were good for what you get ! Also Maria is a lovely person who was super helpful and would always be happy to help with any questions I had, very lovely lady!
The tourist tax kinda sucks, €6.50 per person per night ?!? And you can only pay in cash which was annoying as we didn’t have any on us, so we spent some of our time looking for ATMs, they should just include it in the price as it’d make things abit easier, but that’s the only thing I can criticise about the accommodation so really not a big deal! The place is about a 30-40 minute walk from the centre but there are buses so again, not a big deal just abit of info.

Very cost-effective. Checking in is very easy. Neighborhood is quiet. 5 min walk to a big supermarket.
The bathroom is cramped and has a smell that is hard to describe.
