Papikinou Studios

I really enjoyed the way the space was designed. It felt very Greek! There was a beautiful deck outside with so much sun, which was lovely. The room itself wasn't very extensive, but the location makes up for it! I found the host to be very friendly and would stay here again. Although in places it felt a bit rundown, I liked it, as I felt I was getting a slightly more authentic experience!

It did get cleaned every day, but unfortunately, a lot of the time, things were left quite wet, or I would find wet tea towels in places. I also asked to have my washing cleaned, but that didn't happen. Overall, nothing too extreme, and I found that if you have a bit of whimsy, it's truly a remarkable stay. There are definitely some areas they could improve on, though. The check-in and check-out process is a bit complicated, as the host does not reply to messages and can only be reached easily by direct call. It would be great for the facility if the host were easier to contact, so checking in and checking out wouldn't be so confusing. I was waiting for around an hour to check in - in this case, I truly didn't mind as I was stoked to be in Greece, but I can definitely appreciate how, if you are in a rush, it would be very inconvenient.

The whole house is a very nice place a little bit outside of the village, kind of a traditionnal greek place. Next to the beach and the famous taverna. The place is quiet and walking to the village is easy. Wide terrace, beautiful wiew. Small furnished kitchen.

Could have been a bit cleaner though. some furnitures need to be renewed:)

This is a small family run establishment and they really do their best to make your stay as nice and comfortable as possible. I was greeted very warmly and was given fruits on my my arrival. The fridge had water and fruit juice stocked. The room was relatively clean and the bed was comfortable. This is a budget option so just manage your expectations a little bit but it had everything I needed and I felt perfectly comfortable and safe as a solo female traveler. I was even pleasantly surprised that they cleaned the room everyday for me, taking out the garbage and remaking the bed. This was a nice touch. It is just a short walk away from Papikinou Beach which is a beautiful place to catch the sunset. This beach is also right across from the popular O Hamas! Tavern which is actually part of the reason why I chose this location I love that I was able easily walk there on my first night and have dinner there. (I recommend getting the piglet dish) Just a short walk down the road is a supermarket and further down the road is the Adamas port, so overall this is a good location. The owner was also kind enough to give me a lift to the port on my last day. If you are on a budget and looking for a place in Milos this place is perfectly fine.

It was not very clear how I was to retrieve the key to my room on arrival. I was knocking on the main door for a quite a few minutes before the owner came out. He was very kind and apologetic about this but after a long day of traveling I wish this process was a little bit more streamlined.

Once I managed to communicate my arrival time (night ferry, late arrival), checkin worked out ok. The host was waiting in the house with the key, I just had to call him and he came out
