For a bit of history, visit the Waioli Mission House, built by missionaries in 1837, and check your watch against a wall clock that has been keeping time since 1866. The adjacent church dates to 1834. The bay itself is a half-moon of warm sand offering a safe place to snorkel. Hanalei Bay is also the starting point for kayaking tours to the remote Na Pali Coast. Outfitters such as Kayaking Kauai Outbound () offer kayak rentals as well as one-day and overnight guided tours.

Our family of 10 spent 10 days here at this gorgeous home in Princeville. It had all the necessities we needed and more. Beautiful tile and design throughout. three of the bathrooms were updated beautifully with gorgeous tile! had a very tropical feel to it. All the beds were super comfortable, and the linens and pillows were very comfortable and luxurious as well. The outdoor deck to the back was the icing on the cake. The view of the Napili mountains and Hanalei Bay in the distance were breathtaking. All the tropical plants and flowers and trees were so beautiful to look at. The pool was so pretty and the mermaid sculpture was gorgeous to look at every time you walked in and out of the home or at the pool! The pool was clean and great temperature. The hot tub was perfect and working great every time we used it.! We would definitely stay here again.!!! Mahalo to Liz Grout for all her quick responses! Also, the neighborhood is so nice and beautiful to walk around. Location is really good as well for hikes and beaches nearby. Cannot say enough about this beautiful place.!!

From the moment you enter the gate you are in a lush paradise. The gardens are amazing. Orchids in bloom everywhere. The house is well appointed with spacious rooms and lots of bathrooms. The view off the back porch alone is worth the rental. Incredible. And don’t forget to get to know the frogs in the little stone bath! Liz was so responsive and helpful. We loved our stay.

Had such an amazing stay! Property was just as good as advertised. Pictures don't do the view justice! Liz was lovely to correspond with (we had a question about trash so texted her and got immediate response). The girls enjoyed using the two boogie boards, and there were chairs and beginner surfboards to use as well. We were a group of 9, and the 4 spacious bedrooms were perfect and offered privacy (especially the upstairs bedroom and bathroom) if desired, with the epic living room/dining room and lanai for group hangs and actives. We will absolutely stay here next time if it's available.

I thoroughly enjoyed the view of the mountains from the lanai and the pool area was also very pretty. However, on the first night, I reached out to the manager about the fridge having a steady leak and the rooms being hot. Her response was to put a cup of ice in the fridge to help with the leak. She also said to open the window for the Tradewinds. The next day, I let her know the fridge stopped leaking, she never responded back or asked any further how our stay was going. We went to Walmart and bought 2 fans, 1 for the master and 1 for the upstairs area. The upstairs and the master never cooled down the whole week we were there. My son could not sleep in the upstairs area even with the fans. The 2 small bedrooms did get cool, however. Most of the jets in the hot tub did not work during our stay. I attached a photo of it saying low flow and needing repair. There were cobwebs in the property, so I do not think it was throughly cleaned properly before our arrival. I attached a photo of the cobwebs. Overall, I’m giving 3 stars for the beauty of the property. But I am highly disappointed that we spent so much money for this week for our honeymoon, and I was hot most anytime I was in my bedroom, kitchen or living room. Also, disappointed that the manager never corrected the issue. Outside the house, the AC unit for the master was rusted so it needs to be replaced as it is not working.
