Lavender@Guesthouse

I extended my stay here, I stayed 4 nights total. The host, Anuar, is so lovely. He makes you feel at home. The guesthouse has a wonderful communal area with a full kitchen and plenty of seating. The rooms have air con which works brilliantly, the location is just a 10 min walk from Jonker Street. It’s a great option for a private room on a budget!

It’s a bit noisy outside until midnight which can be heard from inside

Great location, lots of restaurants around and right beside a nice market. Staff are really friendly and give good recommendations. Nice atmosphere.

My room was bigger than expected and had lots of floor space. The bed came with 2 pillows and a nice big blanket. I was in a fan room and at night it was cool enough to sleep comfortably. The lobby/communal area is very cute. Lots of indoor plants and seating options, including some that look out onto the street below. Cold/hot drinking water is available in the kitchen, as well as dishware, tea, coffee, and milo (i think, it wasn't labeled). The owner is very kind and helpful. He gave me some homemade chocolate cheesecake that was delicious! The two hostel cats are very playful and affectionate.

The room was nice and the bed was large. The A/C worked great. The common area was cool too.

It was too close to the bazar market there. You could hear karaoke and fireworks until 2 am. The bathrooms were not the greatest, not very clean and didn't even have lights in them.
