White Sands is situated at Island Beach on Kangaroo Island in South Australia, only 15 minutes from Penneshaw (where the ferry arrives) and 10 minutes from American River.
The home is perfectly located in Flinders Grove at the end of a cul-de-sac, so no through traffic.
Directions:
FROM FERRY AT PENNESHAW
• take the main road out of Penneshaw to Kingscote
• you will pass turnoffs to Baudin Beach and Browns Beach
• approx 3.5 km from Browns Beach turnoff there is a signpost to Island Beach. Turn right - dirt road (this is Island Beach road)
• approx 3 km along Island Beach road turn right into Penguin Street – dirt road
• you will come to intersection of, Flinders Grove and Borda road, turn left into Flinders Grove
• White Sands is at the very end of, Flinders Grove in cul-de-sac.
• White Sands is the last driveway on right, look up you see the sunroom.
FROM THE KINGSCOTE AIRPORT
• Take main Kingscote to Penneshaw road
• Pass the main bitumen turnoff to American River on left
• Turn left onto Island Beach road just after Felt Hat Corner
• approx 3 km along Island Beach road turn right into Penguin Street – dirt road
• you will come to intersection of, Flinders Grove and Borda road, turn left into Flinders Grove
• White Sands is at the very end of, Flinders Grove in cul-de-sac.

Fantastic stay, beautiful home, so peaceful, breakfast on the decking with some wallaby’s - surreal. Great hosts, communication, local hot spot tips and information provided. Island Beach is a beautiful spot and White Sands is a great stay to enjoy it while being not too far away from local eateries and tour places.

We had such a great time! Kevin was an excellent host and provided heaps of information upfront. The house is nicely laid out and can easily have more than the 4 adults that were in our family. The kitchen worked well for meals in and the rooms were nice - great to have multiple bathrooms! We loved the beach, it's shallow and the water is warm and beautiful, basically out the front door. Bonus was the expansive deck where we were able to have sun and shade plus watched the planet parade.Would definitely recommend!

lovely home and nice location but the maintenance and cleanliness of the property not up to standard with cob webs and dust and a broken window. With a bit of upkeep would be 5 star
