The host was very patient whilst we found the location and personally showed us to the parking facility. Very friendly and helpful.

Die Lage für Aktivitäten im Amiens (Kathedrale, Jules-Verne-Haus, Les Hortillonages, Restaurants) ist top. Die Gastgeber waren sofort erreichbar, die Schlüsselübergabe erfolgte prompt, und wir wurden auch zur nahen Garage geleitet - diese würde ich für ein größeres Gefährt (SUV) allerdings nicht empfehlen. Die Wohnung war perfekt, wir hatten jene mit Terrasse und Blick auf die Somme - ein Traum bei gutem Wetter.

Dass man in Amiens noch um 10 Uhr kein Café findet, in dem man bloß einen Kaffee und ein Croissant bekommt. Besser: fürs Frühstück einkaufen und den Kaffee in der Wohnung selbst machen.

Hortillon is a gorgeous little flat overlooking the canal in Amiens. It is creatively decorated and very well equipped, using great use of small spaces to provide great facilities whilst creating a cozy feel. We were met by Miguel who provided the keys and gave us a tour, showing how everything worked and setting the TV to our preferred satellite channels (it was very easy to message and meet up just outside the property). The bedrooms are spacious with convenient hanging/storage space for luggage/clothes and the beds and mattresses are both very comfy, and the shutters on the bedrooms very effective in keeping rooms cool (it was very hot when we were there). There was an A/C unit in the living area which was brilliant and the little balcony was a gorgeous place to sit and watch the world go by (particularly lovely when we had an evening breeze). Plug extensions ensure there are enough power sockets for lights and devices. The shower was good pressure and the bathroom was also very well equipped with laundry facilities. The whole flat was absolutely spotless and it was perfectly situated on the canal but also near to the quay (great restaurants) and the cathedral. A super, super find - we had a very happy stay, thank you Miguel and Isabelle!

The WiFi was not always very strong, but this is a very small point.
