Empire Views, Oneroa - Be My Guest Waiheke

This home is stunning - gorgeous views, loads of space, lots of bathrooms (including a handy outdoor shower) and wonderful outdoor areas to relax and read. Photos are accurate and the property management company responded quickly to concerns and were lovely to deal with.

Unfortunately the home borders a building site and the week we visited, there were major earthworks, digging and chainsaw activity underway which meant we could not use the outdoor space (or even hear each other in normal conversation) for a couple of days due to extreme noise. The property managers had been unaware of the earthworks but perhaps it needs to be mentioned on the listing that noise is expected while the construction progresses.

Location was private and lovely views.

Very steep driveway with little room to turn around at the top. A nervous driver would struggle. Also made walking up and down difficult. Some inbuilt stairs would be safer.

Lovely views.

Amenities were lacking. Dried up coffee in the bottom of a glass cannister. No milk. Few tea bags. No olive oil. All things that were mentioned as being provided. No soap (supposed to be provided) in bathrooms. No shampoo or conditioner. After reading the small print noticed they said to bring preferred bathroom products. Think for the price they could have provided a Shampoo and Conditioner in each bathroom. Also attempted to call the contact number of "Be My Guest" several times. No answer. Very very steep drive way up to the house so don't book if you are challenged physically.

The space, beautiful views, comfortable beds and how close it is to the beach.

Only thing was that it was a bit far to walk into town with young kids.
