Perfectly situated between Stratton (15mi), Okemo (15mi), Bromley (12mi) and Magic Mountain (2mi) resorts, The Octagon at Powder Mill is a perfect getaway for skiers and adventurers looking for winter outdoor activities, antique shopping, site-seeing and fine dining. Large open spaces & 5 bedrooms make it perfect for multiple groups/families. Cathedral high windows will make you feel immersed in the outdoors while inside.

Locally known as The Octagon because of its various window faces and architecturally unique elements, our two- acre hillside haven is one-of-a kind. As you enter, you will be enveloped by pines, birch trees, and moss covered boulder facades, bordered by a pond and seasonal stream. The hillside forest ecosystem can be seen from various heights and perspectives from within the two sprawling light-drenched levels of the house itself. The main floor of the top level of the house has one main bedroom with bathroom ensuite, second bedroom with bunks, a fully-equipped chef’s dream kitchen with generous slate countertops, custom cabinets , multiple bar spaces, and updated appliances, and adjoining open-floor dining room with fireplace and living room for entertaining off the kitchen. Also on the main floor, next to the dining room, is a convenient deck for barbecuing featuring tree top and mountain views. On the upstairs balcony, is a reading nook with desk and pull out futon, next to the enclosed master king sized bedroom, perched alongside an old fir, giving you the impression of sleeping in a tree house. The lower level of the house is nicely separated for large groups to enjoy. Off the balcony stairs is a pod suite and walk in shower. All bathrooms feature radiant heat with slate floors. On the ground floor is the Octagon's Great Room with 30' high ceilings, exposed wooden beams, wet bar, foosball table, massive fireplace, large sectional sofa, and fiber optic TV. The Great Room allows easy access to an additional deck and the backyard with fire pit and seasonal brook. Off the Great Room are two other bedrooms, including the master "guest suite" with its own fireplace, porch and private entrance.

You'll have access to the whole house, except for the loft area not described in the space.

We are available by cell during your stay and we also have a local caretaker that can be contacted.

Other things to note

The house is family friendly but isn't fully kid/baby proof. Portable crib and high chair are available upon request.

The house while secluded, is easily accessible from Route 11 and is sited on well
a plowed road/driveway with shoveled entryway.
