Great family apartment right at the beach

Amazing to fall asleep and wake up to that sea view and sound.

The location was exceptional. The views were perfect. The beds were really comfortable. The flat had a very nice, upbeat feel.

There was quite a lot of noise from the (similarly rented) upstairs flat. It wasn’t their fault, just the lack of sound insulation. Just putting a few rugs on the floor would help. A bit of mood lighting would be a nice idea, especially bedside lights, perhaps.

The location was great, by the sea front. Close to restaurants. Kitchen well equipped. Bottle of beer on arrival. Downstairs cupboard to store pram. Wimereux lovely town and beach.

This apartment is up 3 large flights of stairs and then another flight of stairs to the bedrooms. The pictures of balconies are very misleading as we booked this sea view apartment mainly for the balcony. The top floor apartment doesn't have any outside space and you can't open the window as you are on the 3rd floor. This apartment is not suitable for children. We were traveling with 3 children (one baby) and 4 flights of stairs to get to the bedroom is too much. This should be made clear before booking. The apartment felt very cramped even though it sleeps 6. When we booked this apartment, there was only one option so the other two must have been booked. Had I known there were 3 apartments and the photos did not apply to all 3, I would definitely not have booked this accommodation. There was no broom and the vacuum attachments didn't fit.

Exceptional

Perfect location with sea view, great beach and a good restaurant just outside the door. The apartment is very well maintained, extremely clean and comfortable. The apartment looks just like in the photos, like new.

We could not find any coffee place open in the morning the whole weekend and we did not bring our own coffee to make. The hosts did provide us with complimentary artisan beer so that was a great.

Wonderously soothing to be right on the boulevard, to experience the ebb and flow, to fall asleep to the sound of the waves, to walk the dog along the beach when no one else was there - all just at the bottom of the stairs! Lovely villa with exquisite tiles at the entry (where 8kg washer and a heatpump dryer, full laundry station is available). The apartment is tastefully, functionally and completely furnished, and the master bedroom is a dream. The couch in the livingroom is do-able for sleeping on a few nights and we preferred that over the third pull-out single in the kids' bedroom since we were several adults and each wanted a little more space. Such a beautiful town and such a friendly atmosphere. We felt ever so privileged to stay on the 2nd floor of this fabulous villa with lovely balcony overlooking the hustle and bustle during the day and the lovely beach with slightly warmer swimming area just in front. Loved the sheets, nice bath towels and beautiful wallpaper, loved the bière blonde (cadeau!) and nescafé maker, fully equippes kitchen and we loved the ample areas for hanging wet clothes and also the adjustable radiators in each room. Loved the wooden stairway but yes they creak and are rough on old knees. People renting on other floors are audible but no more than is to be expected (many had dogs). A relaxed and beautiful place to stay in a wonderful town. Very accessible and super friendly hostess.

The mattresses are all simple foam; a bit too hard on the bunkbeds and slightly sagging in the middle of the queen (master). The shower is fed by a boiler so if you don't discuss showering etiquette with your family/friends ahead of time and you are third or fourth in line (not such long showers), you may have lukewarm to cold water on your turn. The oven works so well and got sooo hot that upon opening the door, our cook singed her facial hair and had a burnt face. Bring your own kitchen towels (we did).

Location and overall quality of apartment and facilities was high. We were met by a lovely representative and the gift of a cold beer in the fridge was a nice touch.

A couple of the the electric sockets, were a bit wobbly / fiddly. One of the bedroom wall lights didn't seem to work. Perhaps the addition of phone charging socket would be good. Small points, in a nice apartment which we would definitely consider renting again.

Amazing apartment

Very pretty surroundings and lovely apartment with amazing views and host very welcoming.

The local businesses seem a bit unwelcoming to the English, we (3 lads in our 40/50s) went to a quiet local bar had a couple of drinks and the asked the waitress if their was any night life? she said no! so we went to a Thai restaurant and even though it was semi-busy they said they were closing (8pm) so then we spotted a bar/nightclub with music, so we had a drink there? my friend wanted to get some air so he stepped out next to the door where the bouncers were and told them he was getting air! they would not let him back in as they said they were closing? 11pm? (the Thai restaurant across the road still letting people in as well) they carried on letting more and more people into the nightclub as well, so I confronted the bouncers and they got aggressive and made remarks about us being British , in the end after an argument with them they let my friend back in, We all felt a strong sense of anti- British feeling at this resort unlike Bergues and Calais where they are more welcoming.

Het balkon met zeezicht op de tweede verdieping. Communicatie via sms vooraf was prima. Goede bedden.

Krappe badkamer met douche cabine. Raam in slaapkamer met zeezicht kon niet open, vrij lage stoelen aan de eettafel eettafel, weinig geluidsisolatie, TV met enkel Franse kanalen, weinig info over werking verwarmingstoestellen, microgolfoven, TV.

De accommodatie is heel mooi gelegen en compleet ingericht. Alles was zeer schoon.

Een paar cupjes voor de koffie was fijn geweest, maar de volgende dag bij de supermarkt zo gehaald. De wificode wellicht omzetten in een QR code deze is erg lang.

Appartement tout mignon et complet (il manque un fauteuil près du canapé et le chassis de la chambre avant ferme mal >> nuit très agitée avec le vent marin) Grande facilité de parking et proximité de la rue commerçante Les chiens, bien que réglementairement interdits, sont tolérés sur la digue et sur les plages

Toplokatie

De ligging was fantastisch, met blote voetjes direct aan het strand. De winkels op 5 minuten stappen, alles bij de hand. Het uitzicht vanop de 3e verdieping was super. Alles wat nodig is was aanwezig, ook strandzetels konden we gebruiken. Alles proper en goed onderhouden en ruimte genoeg. De vele trappen deden goed aan de vakantiekilootjes en de fysiek. De dame die ons binnenliet was zeer vriendelijk ook al waren we een half uur te vroeg. We hebben volop genoten!
