A simple place in a peaceful location with a very kind host

What we liked about the property was the quiet location. It is far away from the busy and crowded areas, which made it very relaxing. The host was very friendly and welcoming and made us feel comfortable during our stay. The accommodation itself is simple, but it has everything you need for a stay if you don’t plan to hang out at the accommodation all day.

The bed was not very comfortable, but it was okay for a few nights.

Nice and quiet, great to have a kettle, toaster and a very decent sized fridge. we got a scooter from manager which was great very helpful with onward travel

The bungalows and garden are very nice to stay in. the man who runs it with his family is very friendly and clearly takes pride in making it a clean pretty & well kept place to stay. The aircon also works a treat at keeping you cool when it’s very hot at night, and a mosquito net was provided in the room although the room was already well mozzie proofed with nets on the windows and gaps in the door covered.

Lovely place to stay

I would definitely recommend this property and would stay again, it is so clean, the staff are all lovely, the hut has everything you need, and the towels actually smelt amazing!!

If you don’t have a moped you have to walk up a dark road, so you need a torch

A cute pretty and low key hideaway

For people who enjoy more laid back and connected kind of travel this place is a must, its so friendly and easy going, the grounds are very green and luscious and its in the nice part of the island way from the touristy area in the North, easy to access beautiful beaches by scooter (which the host provides for you at a cheap price)

Perfect Stay!

I liked everything about staying here, location as away from the main road, the bungalows were spacious, clean. Nice firm bed, fridge, kettle, toaster & hairdryer. Friendly and helpful owner, sorted out all my transport, excursions & bike. I would definitely come back!

Super nice place to stay, a bit away from the main road, so it’s quiet and peaceful. Only a 15-minute walk to the beach. You can also rent scooters there, which makes it very easy to get around. Perfect location in the middle of the island, making it easy to explore.

Very simple place, bed hard but still good to sleep, supportive owner, motobike could be rent directly from there

No AirCon, little bit far from the main road, looked totally different as imagined from the pictures, small animals like mice and geccos slipped into the room without a problem (but has a moskito-net installed over the bed as protection)

Great stay, would recommend

The bungalow is well equipped and itself it’s not very rustic, so you don’t have to worry about insects getting in. The private bathroom and small patio are a plus, especially at this price. The guy running the place is also very kind and helpful.

Honestly we enjoyed our stay a lot! Location is a bit far out by walking, so I really suggest a bike/motorbike (in general as well to see Ko Lanta)

Very cozy bungalow with a nice balcony to have your morning coffee that they provide.

We booked the bungalow with fan which was okay for us because it wasn’t very sunny the days we were there but 1-2 mornings that was sunny it was very hot in the room so I recommend booking a room with air conditioning

Comfortable stay and friendly owner

Owner is super nice and friendly! It’s a nice place away from the busy main road. Getting a scooter is advised, which the owner can also arrange for you. We arranged a tour and onward travel via the owner which was also well organized. AC in the took 5 minutes to cool the room which was nice in the heat. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Great value stay with a helpful host and peaceful jungle vibes near the beach.

The room was basic but had everything we needed. The owner was super friendly and helpful — we rented a scooter from him for our whole stay at a really cheap price. The location is close to the main beaches, but just far enough off the main road to be quiet, surrounded by jungle and nature sounds. Highly recommended.

Brilliant place to stay

Lovely location, can do scooter rental and help with booking ferry out of lanta! Really good value for money, bed was so comfy and the host (Man) was lovely, always smiling. Thankyou!

Ok basic room for the price, but filthy aircon

Decent enough budget rooms in the jungle. It's nice and quiet.

The double bed was extra small (unlike what the booking.com ad said), which would be fine for 1 person, but too small for 2 adults. Water pressure was very low. The aircon was super dirty and smelled like mold - probably not cleaned in years.

Calm place in a good location

Just came from Da Nang so was searching for a bit of peace and quiet and we definitely found it here. The property has cats, chickens, lizards, birds (saw 2 kingfishers) and cows next door. Its a slice of heaven in the bush and still very close to infrastructure and arguable one of the nicest beaches on the island. Nan the owner and his family are always smiling and happy to help out if you need something. We arrived late and it was no problem at all.

Gets some insects in the room but what. do you expect? It's semi remote so its bound to happen and didn't bother me at all.

A home away from home.

It's hard to describe the charm of this place: It has something about it that quickly made me feel at home. Perhaps it's the charm of the host, Nan, who makes it so easy to rent a scooter from him (110cc for €150 per day), or who'll book your bus back to Krabi for you. Or perhaps it's having a pretty self-sufficient room in the centre of the island. The location, in the centre of the island, makes it easy to see all the main sites. The layout of the 6 rooms are communal, and it was easy to get chatting to the neighbours. I really loved this place.

My room did have the odd insects in it, and the fridge turned off when I removed the keycard. The room was also a bit rundown, but I saw another room which was much more modern, so it seems to be luck of the draw. You'll definitely need to rent a scooter, since you're a bit away from the thick of things here.

We had a wonderful 10 day stay at Lanta Happy House! Nen was a very attentive host ready to help with anything we needed. Bedroom and bathroom both spacious with lots of space to lay out luggage, strong aircon, big fridge and possibility to refill drinking water in the courtyard. Nen also rents good scooters and organises laundry for a good price. The small property (5 rooms?) is in a lovely quiet place close to nature and the neighbors have cows and chickens. Less than 10 min walk to 7-Eleven and restaurants and close to the quiet Beautiful Beach that ended up being our favorite on the island. We also found the best snorkeling just at the beach directly down from 7-11 & Beautiful Beach!

Bed is big but not the softest (although that seems to be the case in most places in Thailand)

- room is very spacious as is bathroom - toilet and shower are separate so the place stays dry - only 5 rooms so it's quiet - the owner, Nen is such a lovely, genuine and helpful guy - having a hammock and private sitting area is nice - nice restaurants and shops are close about 10-15 minutes walk. As with most of Lanta you will want a scooter to get almost anywhere - what you get for the price is incredible, the facilities are very good - having a fridge is great - free filtered water

- Minor: lights in courtyard are quite bright and on all night with thin curtains so it could be quite bright in the room during the night

Peace and quite and a wonderful host at Lanta Happy House

We very much enjoyed our stay at Lanta Happy House and wish to thank Nen, the proprietor, and his family for the warm welcome. Nen was always available to provide advice, rent us a scooter, drive us in his 3-wheel Tuk-tuk, organize a fishing excursion, a 4-island group excursion and the speedboat journey from Koh Lanta to Koh Lipe and so much more. The room was large and very clean and comfortable. The property has only 3 contiguous rooms on one side and two bungalows on the other side. There are two nice sheltered sitting areas. A great restaurant (Ann's Easy Food) at the bottom of the street (a must for travelers - the food is very good). Nen did everything he could to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The location is an 8-minute walk to the main road and 12 minutes to Khlong Kong beach. No problem at all for anyone who enjoys walking. Many restaurants and shops on the Main Street and on the beach. After 2 days of our 7-day stay, we rented a scooter from Nen and drove all over the west side of the island. We highly recommend Lanta Happy House to travelers visiting Koh Lanta.

Great location, very friendly helpful staff, would love to come back.

It’s a family owned/ran small resort of 5 bungalows. We stayed for 4 nights in December. Family of 5 so we rented 3 bungalows. The location is lovely, set back from the beach and restaurants but only a couple of minutes away on the scooters. The bungalows are basic but clean, have large comfortable double beds, decent air con, good sized fridge to stock up beers to enjoy on an evening sitting out on the wooden veranda out in nature. Nen the owner/host was so helpful and friendly, he arranged our transfer and ferry, arranged laundry, hired us scooters, recommended restaurants, beaches to visit.

The owner Nen, is absolutely incredible. He is so accommodating and cares about his customers satisfaction. Originally booked 3 nights there and ended up staying an entire month. The location is nestled in the forest, so it's nice and quiet, definitely need a motorbike but Koh lanta is a great place to ride a bike. Nen will organize tours and trips, visa runs, etc. He even hosted a BBQ one night when the place was full! The price is incredible for what you get and I will definitely be back. Thank you Nen for everything!!

Wonderful stay - thank you so much!

We loved our time at Lanta Happy House. The rooms are spacious, modern, and private. Each room has its own patio space with a table, chairs, washing line and hammock. The owner is super friendly and so helpful. He organised our motorbike rental, our minibus to the airport, gave us great recommendations and even arranged a barbecue for all guests. He couldn’t do enough for you but is also really relaxed and not intrusive. Due to the relatively remote location you’re able to capture amazing starry nights too!

If you stay here (or mostly anywhere in Koh Lanta) you will need a motorbike to get around as the guesthouse is located down a dirt road and is relatively unlit. You can organise this with the host himself.

Lovely bungalow :)

We loved our stay so much! We had one of the 2 bungalows, which had all we needed and was very comfy. Quiet nights here to have a good sleep. Close to beautiful beach and Klong Khong Beach. The host is so friendly and helpful, organising trips, boat, scooter, BBQ or whatever you might need. Free water refill. He did everything to make us feel home. Thank you :)

Pleasant stay on the edge of the forest

Very pleasant and helpful host, has scooters for rent, helps with laundry and even organizes good-priced tours. Warmly recommend.

No reading lights in the bungalow - a minor inconvenience and no shower curtain - when taking a shower the bathroom gets quite wet.

We really enjoyed our stay here and it was an absolute bargain based on the price. The owner was so friendly and helpful, helping us to rent a bike and organise transfers to Koh Lipe for a great price. He explained to us how he built each of the bungalows himself and about his plans for expansion in the future. The bungalow was comfortable with a rustic interior and was equipped with a kettle, fridge and hairdryer. There were ants in our room but this was to be expected based on the location of the bungalow.
