Villa Lapintiira

The property was very spacious and clean. The fireplace was great and provided ample heating. They even provided extra firewood on request. There were sleds on the property to use so we could play in the snow.

It is hard to find the property and map apps don’t show the correct directions to the property. I had to walk out to the nearest large intersection to meet taxis. It would have been nice if they provided shampoo and body soap. Not sure if that’s a normal thing in Finland or not.

Locatie was geweldig, op de Ounasvaara berg, weg van de drukte. We hadden het geluk van 3 avonden op rij het Noorderlicht te zien pal boven ons huisje. De open haard was geweldig alsook de sauna was een mooie meerwaarde. De eigenaar bracht meermaals houtblokken en ook een pan die wat versleten was werd meteen vervangen. Hier komen we sowieso terug, dank jullie wel voor het geweldige verblijf!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend this place to anyone looking for a magical, forest-surrounded escape. Staying here truly gave us the full Lapland experience. Communication with the hosts was excellent, they responded quickly to all our questions before arrival, and the check-in process was seamless. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared from the moment we stepped inside. The accommodation was warm, cosy, and incredibly well equipped; we never found ourselves without anything we needed. We even received extra firewood during our stay, which was a lovely touch. The sauna was a particular highlight after spending time out in the cold. Our children were thrilled with the sledges provided (and the parents appreciated the break too!). They spent hours creating tracks and playing in the snow, which made the stay even more special for them.

The only minor issue was a couple of missing blinds and a few absent kitchen utensils, such as tongs. This didn’t affect our stay at all, and we easily found alternatives.
