Beautiful location, large comfortable bell tent, great access to beautiful Swanage, we will be back!

Location is amazing, beautiful views of countryside and lots of stars at night. A friendly horse next door to our bell tent. We liked not having to bring our own tent and the camp beds and mattresses supplied were surprisingly comfortable for camping beds. Great being very near steam train station and within walking distance of Swanage. Great to get the complimentary wood in tent.

Would have been nice to have a few more facilities for children, like a play area. There were a number of children in neighbouring tents but they didn’t mix at all - play areas would support this. Sometimes there was a bit of a wait for the toilet, but understandable when it was busy. During the busy bank holiday weekend the neighbouring field was incredibly busy with tents and vehicles - we were pleased to be in the neighbouring field which felt less ‘cramped’. However, even though it was busy, it was quiet through the night - not a party site, which was good. The food at refreshments tent was welcome for campers who didn’t bring any cooking equipment.

Overall a wonderful week camping!

Views from our bell tent were lovely, quietness and location from amenities/attraction were great. Free fire wood was an added touch. Beds were comfy. On site food was lovely too.

The bathroom facilities werent completely up to scratch with cleanliness. Locks were busted and toilet seats were broken.

Lovely countryside bell tent..

Lovely big bell tent lots of space, not exactly glampin just a table & beds & logs & kindling for fire pit, but we were very happy wiv the set up we had all our camping equipment & we were very happy wiv the bell tent & end up stayin 3 extra nights as we loved the place,its dog friendly 2,gettin kindling & logs for a fire a bonus we had enough for 3 fires & u can buy more on site, it was lovely just sittin around the fire on a night wiv a glass of wine 😊 the toilets were nearby we were in tent 3 & they weren't as bad as the reviews stated they were pretty tidy considering,countryside location fantastic not far from swanage & shops & takeaways & a supermarket in swanage & there's a railway track nearby u get 2 see the old steam train go by, its lovely & didn't disturb the peace & quiet of the beautiful countryside location tho, its a lovely site there's also a shop & cafe on site which we didn't really use, wud definitely stay again no probs..😊🥰

Overall a great stay. The site was in perfect location to get to the beach and town of Swanage.

The location was great. We stopped in a Bell Tent, great size with electricity, beds a table and light. Perfect for our needs. Site overlooked the valley which as great.

No wood or kindling on arrival. Bin near the toilets / showers wasn't emptied often enough and 2 out of the 5 local showers only seemed to have cold water!

The location was great and the tents were clean and comfortable.

It wasn’t clear where to get drinking water - the stand taps didn’t work and it wasn’t clear if the water from the water tanker was ok to drink.

Excellent place to stop to explore Dorset.

We stayed in one of their bell tents for 2 nights, we were busy so made little use of the facilities (so I cannot comment on them) apart from the onsite takeaway - which was excellent with friendly staff. The bell tent was very spacious with an electric lamp and a fire pit and picnic table outside and a great view in the morning.

Nothing, though if I was to be really picky no bedding is provided so you have to bring your own but you do get plenty of notice.

Good value for money and location

A good location, showers & toilets were clean, everyone was friendly, would definitely visit again.

The only downside was that we were put in a tent near the entrance with some road noise, also there were only 2 plug sockets in the tent.

Stayed in the bell tents and they were in a lovely location with a stunning view. Tents themselves were solid and easily withstood the wind and rain we had on one night. Very easy to access and close to some showers and toilets. Movable fire pit which was very good as we needed to find a spot out of the wind. Overall really good.

The beds and mattresses were not overly comfortable. Ended up putting the mattress directly on the ground and putting our own inflatable mattress over top.

Overall efficient.

Tent was spacious, some spiders crawled on the floor into my boots and above the tent. So had to be carefully, keep my luggage closed. Don't leave food around. Also the shower cubicle had some creatures crawling in and out the electric box. I advised Martin to fix the extractor fan with a timer or else those stay on all the time and the motor burns down quick! On the other hand : It's a spectacular landscape.

The showers , extractor fan should each be controlled by a timer and set to ON 3 hours, OFF 15 minutes , repeating the same setting for 12 hours ON . At night is not need to be ON as there are windows and the door is open. It's waste of electrical energy during the night.

Best time to go is peak season

Beautiful location, superb views.

Lacklustre staff, as if they can't be bothered with the site, unkempt buildings and grass areas, poor facilities, no breakfast options during the week Mon/Fri only weekends. Site navigation signage almost non existant.

Don't do it!

Excellent location

Bell tent was certainly NOT glamping. The tent consisted of : several mats creating trip hazards and dirt traps, fold up metal frame beds with mattresses, an old wooden bedside cabinet and a lamp plugged in to a 4 socket extension lead. Apart from that it was completely empty. Still confetti from previous customers left under the bed. 1 male toilet servicing around 50 people close by. Shower block was either a 5 or 15 minute walk and showers were dirty. We didn't try food or bar.

lovely to be able to meet our friends and lovely weather on the Saturday, lots of birds and wild garlic on the campsite.

it was a very good location just outside Swanage.

it was cold but I knew it would be and we took a small electric space heater and hot water bottles. the first tent we entered was wet on the floor but it turned out that this wasn’t the one that had been set up for us. it was quite muddy but there is hard standing as well as the muddy areas and it is not muddy inside the tent just a bit squelchy. I was a bit worried about the people who live on the site all year. they seem to be really suffering from the cost of living crisis and need help and care.
