Friendly and helpful owner, good access to Noumea and the attractions of the South, supermarket, bakery and petrol station only 200m down the road, fully furnished kitchen, swimming pool in the tropical garden, safe in the room, good wifi, roofed deck with sunbeds and a table, sufficient on-street parking, a friendly puppy as a bonus;
Dogs barking all over neighbourhood at night (earplugs recommemded) - yet I suspect this is a universal issue all over NC, our apartment was split—level with few steps between bedroom and living room (might be an issue for people with limited mobility)

The host was really helpful and assisted us to book car hire for a trip to another island. Very clean accommodation with comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen.
The pictures on booking.com showed a large spacious area but on arrival, the ground floor unit was quite small and dark. The host said that the pictures were of the upstairs accommodation which had 3 bedrooms. The entry also said view of the mountains but there wasn`t. In the middle of a residential area so no services within walking distance. We left after 2 nights and moved to a beachside resort.
