The Hideway is well located in the Latin Quarter of Noumea and central to many local attractions.
Getting in to the property was challenging, especially when arriving late at night in a strange city. We needed to locate an old cupboard on the street with a lock box containing 3 different keys - 2 for different gates and another for the door to the main part of the unit - inside was yet another key for the separate kitchen area. All locks were different with 2 of them being difficult to use.

Quiet envionment
- Kitchen is in separate buildng. - A large extra friendly dog came to holding me from behind and not easy to remove him/her while walking in the shared court yard when I got out towards street footpath, it is hard to manage unlock the door lock because of the friendly dog. - No washing machine - Hotwater runs out due to gas bottle gets empty some time and it takes 24 hours to replace - No Wi-fi internet, I was required to buy eSIM (30GB) @ aprox AUD 72.
