Absolutely beautiful little hotel. The room (actually a suite) was really lovely. The main bedroom is presented well with a large bed and window looking into the garden. A flatscreen TV and complimentary bottled water was provided. On site parking is available through a small gate for access into the limited courtyard, You could probably park maybe 4-5 cars if arranged correctly. When I arrived, I was the first. The second bedroom had two single beds and some storage - I didn't spend any time in here or look much closer, but it appeared clean. The bathroom (and separate toilet room) are both very nicely decorated with a lovely wooden/tree theme throughout. The bathroom is large and so is the shower. It feels like a very authentic French experience, which is what I was after! Very good value for money for the standard of room and service you receive. I did not attend breakfast, but the room looked clean and well presented, too. There was also a 'living room' communal area that was clean, but must have been being set up as the chairs were kind of located centrally. Loved the stained glass windows. The location is perfect to allow a short walk in to town with plenty of food options available and memorials literally around the corner. A very pretty little town! The garden is also presented very well - with plenty of private seating areas. There was a hot tub in the corner, but it's unclear if this was for guest use - I had not asked.

The key fob to enter the main door is very inconsistent - both myself and other guests struggled to open the main door to enter the building when using the key fob. I found the knack was to pull on the door at the same time. I was to understand the host spoke English (as listed on Booking.com) but she did not. She was however, very friendly, welcoming and we both endeavoured to use Translate to communicate with each other.

Lovely villa in a great location in the old town. Very friendly owner. Good breakfast. Effective aircon.

It wasn’t clear we could drive into the old town on Saturday before 18:30. It appears we could but that was contra to what the sign said on at the city gate. Worth knowing!
