Saint-Eusèbe Mansion - Hôtel Particulier St-Eusèbe

What a wonderful place to stay! The people are incredibly friendly and the house is absolutely lovely. Made us feel very welcome and it is a very quirky old mansion they are slowly doing up, full on art, antiques and art.

We stayed during the hottest days ever recorded in Auxerre and they don’t have air conditioning, although they supplied plenty of iced water and fans.

Beautiful property in a fantastic location, we arrived very late and the host was very understanding and courteous. We felt very welcomed into there home and wished we could have stayed longer. The pool was amazing and really appreciated in this heatwave.

Nothing it was perfect

It was a lovely old house with loads of character. One of the houses included in the walking tour of the city. Easy walk to the town centre. The room was spotless and a pretty garden overlooking the church. The owner was lovely. Very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was included and excellent. The best of our 10 day trip. We were able to park on site and leave our car the next day while we explored the city.

A little difficult to find as the property is behind 2 big white doors up a very narrow road.The roads in the town are all one way and many were closed. That was not the fault of the owner.

Breakfast was plentiful, yet lacking help our third morning.

- [ ] Difficult check in because of language - [ ] During check in, we were shown the kitchen because we were told if we wanted something there, please feel free. It was soooo messy… - [ ] Shared bathroom - didn’t notice that fact when I booked. And I keep forgetting to bring a towel to dry my hands… - [ ] Usually bumped my head when I got in or out of bed - [ ] Didn’t find mirror in room until third evening, so had to wait to use bathroom to primp - [ ] Linens drying on all two floors of banisters and railings - [ ] Had to wear slippers, even on the stairs to the third floor, which were sloped the wrong way - [ ] Napkins were paper towels. A paper napkin should be used at least for such an elegant dining room. - [ ] The salon had a strong smell of mold in it. I have a health issue with mold so I couldn’t enjoy the room
