If you like aircraft then this is the hotel for you. The roof terrace is very high and has clear views of the nearby airfield. Or if you turn around then it has equally good views of the bay and harbour (and the sunrise). We were met on arrival with a very friendly welcome. Breakfast was ordered on our arrival, delivered in the morning and was exaclty what we needed. Room was great, we had a balcony with sea view which was lovely. Parking was available very nearby. Overall this hotel was excellent.

Our stay at the Taitung Seawall Homestay was our first stay at home stay in Taiwan. Like many people, we came for watching the airplanes and it did not disappoint! The photography platform on the roof is absolutely wonderful for this and the rooms have a nice balcony and a tub with a sea view. They are comfortable and clean. We found that the quadruple room had plenty of space for our family of three. Parking was fine and there was a 7-Eleven right down the road. The washing machine wasn't working when we were there but we were able to use the coin laundry just outside the 7-Eleven which was very easy. I read a number of comments about the Wi-Fi being a problem and I think they have fixed that since those were published there seems to be a router for every room and the Wi-Fi was fast and easy. The owner is accommodating and we were able to check in early on our dates which was great. There's really no one there the rest of the time so you just have to figure things out. Breakfast was something the owner picked up from a local convenience store and it was okay.

My big suggestion would be to have a small cheap bar of hand so if you could wash your hands after using the toilet instead of having to go in the tub to get a pump of shampoo.
