Nou avons passer un sejour super agréable. La vue depuis la maison et surtout depuis sa terrasse est tout simplement incroyable. Les propriétaires sont d'excellents hôtes, qui ont une grande connaissance de l'art de recevoir et de la gentillesse.

Spacious, good for families. House owners are very friendly and warm

One bedroom’s bed is probably just of double size and the air conditioning doesn’t work. It shows the temperature is 16 C but it’s definitely not, so we ended up not using it. Not a big issue if you switch on the air conditioning in the living room and keep that bedroom’s door open so the cool air can go to that bedroom. The challenge we find is the climbing. The house is on the hill, and some parts of the road is extremely steep. We are traveling with our parents and it’s quite challenging for them. Particularly under the sun! With heatwave like this, you either need to have your own car to drive to there or you need to book taxi ahead of time. And just FYI, there is only one taxi on the island and the driver is busy/ picky with the work. ( typical example of monopoly!) One time we called in the evening he didn’t pick the phone at all. Another time we managed to speak to him and he was fully booked. Because of the transportation issues, we were quite limited with our options of where to go and when to go out because our parents cannot climb the hills for multiple times per day, and one can easily get heat stroke climbing the hill under the sun like that.

We booked this house based on excellent rating of more than 9. However we were quite disappointed from the first moment, especially in regards to cleanesses. Pictures from the bathroom are not representative because there is rust on many spots and also the bedsheets seemed not cleaned as well as the floor it is a pity because the house is quite spacious and with great view from the balcony. In addition bare in mind that if you don’t have car/bike you need to walk a steep uphill and the location is between the main villages of plaka and Megalochori. Lastly the checkout in booking was at 12 but from 10 o’clock the cleaning lady woke us up and mentioned that we need to be out earlier . Overall the house has a lot of potential but the owner should put some effort on cleaning it better and be accurate on pictures/checkout times. Doesn’t represent the current rating :(

Amazing high location overlooking the main coastline and mainland. Great terrace for sitting out. There are two terraces and one is great for sheltered sunbathing. The apartment is spacious with three medium size bedrooms. The apartment is very close to Skala (port for large ferries) and is also the tourist hotspot with the best sandy beaches, but quite understated. The apartment is up a very steep hill which requires an energetic walk of 10-15 minutes from Skala and the nearest shop. There is an excellent rural taverna two minutes from the house.

Excessive noise from the island club on certain nights. Noisy resident peacocks and peahens. The uphill walk is not for everyone and the apartment is a little tired and in need of a makeover. Still great value for money. Beware man-eating small flying insects where the scars are still visible after 3 weeks. Agistri is a small island without so many facilities but good for a short break and chill out.
