Located in a beautiful small village, away from the noise of Jiufen, we immediately felt like we were at home at this beautiful place. Don't worry about it seemingly being far off the grid: it's easily reachable from Taipei and Ruifang with direct bus connections that will get you there even late at night. The room was beautiful and comfortable and the view is one of the best I ever had. Regarding amenities: It has a modern TV, good Wi-Fi and a small fridge. No kitchen, but everything you need. They provide you plenty of drinking water, so you don't need to worry about bringing it yourself. The hosts were really nice and helped us with every question we had. Overall, I really preferred this accommodation and village over Jiufen, as it lets you live in an enchanted and quaint little village straight in the mountains. In conclusion: I really hope I can come back one day, as my girlfriend and I really fell in love with this beautiful quiet village and this accommodation.

No bad things about the accommodation itself. Just bear in mind that the only convenience store in the village (a FamilyMart next to the gold museum) closes at 5 PM and most restaurants are closing very early as well. But, as I said, you can easily take a bus to Jiufen or Ruifang and go eat or buy things at the convenience stores there if you missed the opening hours of the FamilyMart or restaurants
