Location (close to bus stop/temple and short walk to start of Jiufen street)
Excellent views from outside covered/common area
Caretaker was sweet and attentive
Room had a shoe dryer - useful as it was heavy rains all day
Breakfast option limited
No hand soap at the basin (need to take shower soap from shower area)
Dangerous flight of steps down as soon as you step into the common room to access your own room - need to watch out as fall risk

The view is fantastic. The location is very strategic just a walking distance to the old street, so the room is very quiet. The host is very friendly and helpful. He always gives nice suggestion to us in planning our trip.

1. we booked 2 rooms and cleanliness of one bathroom was good, the other was really really poor
2. the breakfast was pretty good, the local flavors of the choices really came through.
it was raining cats and dogs when we got there, and aside from one of the bathroom being really unclean, i wasn't expecting much else, although the wifi signal was really really weak inside the respective rooms.
