About this apartment rental
Extremely convenient access to Wells Beach is just one of the many great attributes of this spacious vacation getaway. The home is directly across the street from beautiful Wells beach (Two houses down from Public way #2 leading right to the beach). This relaxing vacation spot is fully furnished and features two private bedrooms with a queen sized bed and full sized bed. A large living area features a queen sized sleep sofa to sleep a total of six in the unit. Large wraparound windows abound in the front living area allowing cool ocean breezes to pass through and the beautiful beach sun to add lots of light. The living area features a large flat screen TV with cable and a DVD player (for vacation family movies). The house is also equipped with WIFI for the kids or business (if you just can't get completely away). A large kitchen area with bonus seating area for family meals is very convenient. The kitchen comes fully equipped with Stove, Refrigerator, Microwave, Coffee Maker, Toaster and all the eating and cooking utensils you could ever need. The bathroom was completely renovated and features tile floor and stand up shower. The outside of the unit has as many amenities as the inside. A large fenced in yard (Rare so close to the beach) provides the kids a place to run/play off that vacation energy and the adults a nice place to sit and relax. A grill is available for summer cookouts as well. A bonus outside shower is also available to wash off the beach sand. There is convenient, no hassle off street parking for two cars. The home is in walking distance of ice cream/lunch/breakfast at Forbes restaurant, shops and the arcade (for the kids). This unit is one of multiple units within the home. The opportunity exists for large/multiple families wishing to vacation together to rent side by side units or upper and lower units. This provides the the privacy of your own quarters along with the convenience of having friends or the whole extended family in the same home (See additional HomeAway listing numbers 4274206, 4271724 and 4275988 for pictures and descriptions. This vacation, choose hassle free location convenience. If you like relaxing in a home that is 60 seconds from the beach, than this is your spot. The front of this unit has lots of windows and partial ocean views. "People Watching" could not be easier. The living room/sun room also overlooks Atlantic Avenue. You can see all the coming and goings of Wells Beach from the comfort of your own sun room right on the main ocean strip. If you don't have kids, you can walk less than 1/2 miles to Billy's Chowder House for dinner and some drinks and then walk home. (All stays contingent on receipt of signed rental agreement.) This year, stay right by the beach!!!

We had an awesome week at the beach. Our family are outdoors people, so we spent 8 to 10 hours a day at the beach. The rental was only for eating and sleeping. The time spent at the rental was good. The amenities were as advertised. We were able to cook all our meals. The beds were comfortable. And everything was clean when we got there. Shelving for unpacking our dried goods would have been very useful but does not warant a reduction of the five star rating.

Prior to our arrival, we had to have a separate contract with owner, which noted NO SHEETS OR TOWELS included in unit, and we would be charged for them or we had to bring our own. However, since I said it was not mentioned in the listing and had no knowledge of this, we couldnt possibly travel cross country with these items. The owner left a container of sheets/towels in a bedroom, and upon arrival we proceeded to make our own bed. The pictures shown on site, looked far better than in person and I was surprised how different it was. Although the unit had 2 bedrooms, there is not enough room for 3 or 4 people, without bumping into each other. It’’s good for 1 couple and a child,at best. The TV didn’t work, the lighting was poor in the living area and bedrooms, with tiny little lamps, so impossible to read at night. There were several small issues that were taken care of in a timely manner and for that we appreciate the Owner’s quick response. However, we did not expect to deal with things that had not been kept up, during our stay. This is not a newly renovated space, except for the flooring and small bathroom sink. Freezer had rust on the shelves, the bathroom shower had mildew on the door, no hot water at first; his unit next to us had a problem with the toaster burning and alarms going off. There was no soap, shampoo etc, which is in every other VRBO. I dislike leaving negative reviews, but I hope this owner gets more involved with his properties here.
