About this cabin rental

Disclaimer: We recently had a tornado come through and are working hard to get the woods cleaned up. The Bunkhouse is still available but the scenery is not the same as the photos. For any question please call.

You owe it to yourself to come and spend a quiet evening or the whole weekend with us in the secluded Mohican Bunkhouse. Located on the south border of the Mohican memorial state park and just a few minutes from Historic down town Loudonville., the bunkhouse offers you the seclusion of the forest and a modern home. Enjoy all the activities that the great outdoors has to offer while enjoying the comforts of our fully furnished cabin.

Our check in time is 3pm and the check out time is 11am on your departure day.

All fires are subject to State Park restrictions and will be enforced. We do have a camera attached to the garage above the doors facing the driveway for safety and security purposes.

It is a wonderful cozy cabin. Two bedrooms are located downstairs. The kitchen was fully equipped allowing us to create a nice brunch. We had family camping at Mohican which was a 9 minute drive. Its a nice peaceful setting which we thoroughly enjoyed with a great bonfire. Owners welcomed us by text and there was a minor issue which was attended to immediately. Would rent again!

Nice secluded getaway for HS friends. Catch-up time around the campfire stocked kitchen with all your needs to cook if looking to stay in all weekend, however if wanting to venture out, like we did,Loudonville was close and enjoyed good eats at the Bistro as well as shopping at some quaint boutiques in town. A storm had been through the area and unfortunately had disturbed some of the grounds, but still did not take away from our enjoyment of the cabin and the outdoor patio and fire pit area, both with plenty of comfortable seating for all. Nice little getaway overall.

Great private property..we loved the location. Our family range from our three year old grandaughter, our kids 25 & 30 with their spouses to ourselves in our mid 50s. Construction/renovation pending in basement with fans and water smell, but it was tolerable. Guessing this will be rectified soon. Overall a great place.

This is a lovely home tucked away on a very quiet road in the woods. If you’re interested in solitude, this is the place for you. It’s also a short drive to Mohican State Park, Malabar Farm and Loudenville. Nicelyfurnished and a well stocked kitchen too.

This was our second time renting this property and it turned out to be as good as our first stay last Fall. Greg, the owner is very accommodating and we feel fortunate to have access to his property. He's added a new Grill (propane and charcoal) which was so easy to use and cooking was a breeze. The property is clean and has all the comforts of home. We will continue our yearly Fall visits to Mohican State Part and the Mohican Bunkhouse will continue to be our second Home.

The house has 3 queen beds and one of those is in the open as a bunk bed on top so 4 beds total. Worked out well for us, was a quiet location heavily wooded and pretty secluded which kept it very cool while outside. Host was great, the kitchen was fully stocked. There is an abundance of hummingbird feeders and so many birds it made for great entertainment in the morning with coffee on big front porch. Highly recommend!

Being nestled in the trees, we enjoyed the sights and sounds of nature. In the midst of August heat, we did not need to run the air conditioner. Throughout the week, we saw more horses pass in front of the cabin than cars. The peace and quiet was wonderful!

This cabin home is well maintained and stocked. Peaceful quiet retreat for a group of four guys after mountain biking in Mohican State Park. Loved the front porch, outdoor dining patio, and fire pit area.

We enjoyed our stay here so much! The cabin was beautiful and so clean. They had everything we needed for our stay. They also let us bring our pug along. The porch has hummingbird feeders and alot of humming birds flying around. It was so neat to see! Cabin is nice and secluded. Check in was easy and we were even able to check in early! If you are in the area, definitely recommend staying here!

The property was easy to get to and very welcoming with a front porch with huge ferns & hummingbird feeders. We enjoyed watching the hummingbirds zipping around. The back deck had a grill & lots of seating to enjoy the wooded view. Also in back there’s a fire ring for camp fires & marshmallows. The house has an open floor plan & everything you could need in the kitchen. We loved our stay & highly recommend the Bunk House.

My sister graduated from Ashland University and I was looking for somewhere different and fun to stay as a family weekend getaway. This place did not disappoint! I had everything I needed to pull off a family weekend celebration. The cabin is very clean, the outdoor amenities were perfect. The setting was very beautiful and peaceful. I would highly recommend this property. It’s also managed very well. The owner was very responsive to my questions.

We had a wonderful experience. The cabin was everything we needed. From furnishings to supplies. The location was perfect, my kids had a great time running around the property and it's proximity to the Mohican State Park was great. Greg was great, even offering to refund our money when one of the showers wasn't working (but there are two bathrooms so no problem) We would readily stay again.

Couldn’t get in contact with owner when door wouldn’t open. Luckily, was able to crawl through window because my dog was inside. Also had to hand shovel part of driveway myself because owner’s snowblower broke and he didn’t hand shovel it. Not great customer service.

The cabin is situated on a beautiful, wooded large lot-very private and a lovely get-away. It is very close to everything at Mohican State Park, so it was easy to take advantage of all the park has to offer. The cabin had everything provided that we needed. The owner was very responsive to questions that we had. Overall, it was a great weekend retreat!

My husband and I have 4 young children, and this was the perfect place for us to get away! It had everything we needed in order to have a nice stay. It was clean & cozy, and the surrounding areas were great for walking/hiking. We hope to return!
