Domki pod Gubałówką

Super cute cottage/cabin. All wood, very cozy. Not big, but for the four of us it there was plenty of space. Great view (especially from the one named Goryczka). Very well insulated and heated (good for winter; also has a shoe drying thing). Free wood for the fireplace. Small kitchen, basic but sufficient. Some hammock-chairs outside under which two goats roam. Walking distance from the town center (about 10 min). You can also hike up to the top of the Gubalowka cable cart (about 45 min straight up the mountain - much recommended for an even better view of the mountains south of town).

The curtains upstairs have seen better days, they should be replaced. Mind you: there are 6 cabins, three in a row, two rows deep. While all of them have some view of the mountains, only the front row (and really, of those three only the one called Goryczka) have a free view. They are all a bit cramped together. You're also right on the edge of town, so while the cabin itself feels like you're on an alpine meadow when you look ahead at the mountains, you're really still in town.

Quaint charming getaway with so many comforts. A big hit with our travel companions. Ordered breakfast to be delivered - a real win.

The location was lovely and fairly accessible, I would say that if carrying shopping or suitcases that getting a taxi is advisable. The downstairs was bright, warm and clean with a comfortable sofa and a fireplace. The dinner table was a great size with an amazing view, there was also outside furniture, plenty of fire wood and a downstairs toilet and sink.

We did find on arrival that the upstairs bedroom and bathroom blinds were either damaged or had been removed which meant that privacy and the sunlight coming in was a concern particularly at night, with the smaller bedroom being directly opposite quite a large building, which could see directly into the bedroom, We did contact the owners to let them know and they said they were aware and had ordered more blinds. Whilst the kitchen was very clean there was only a stove top and no oven/toaster/microwave so if wanting to use the self catering that is a little limited. And plugs closer the bed in the smaller room would be great.

The premise itself is nice. Location is amazing. The cabin interior is very cozy and has everything needed.

There was a bait and switch. We were expecting a property like in the pictures. The actual property is a box off the side that was not shown anywhere. As a result. We were not able to locate the property. The phone number given for contact does not pick up. And the text exchange with the owner was also confusing. Took us ages to find the right place. And also quite disappointed in getting something completely different from expectations.
