Own-door courtyard bedroom with ensuite and outside seating area, tucked into beautiful, rural countryside, a 10-15 min stroll from Terryglass Village. With excellent boating and water sports amenities and popular eateries, Terryglass is a wonderful place to unwind and the perfect base for exploring the many heritage sites around Lough Derg, and its colourful towns and villages. An abundance of walking trails makes Terryglass ideal for those seeking an activity break.
Paddy's Bar/Restaurant in Terryglass is a traditional Irish bar serving good food and velvety Guinness.

We had an excellent stay and really enjoyed interacting with Margaret. She was very polite and attentive. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway, I highly recommend this location. Its just a quick drive to the local shops, there is an amazing park with a castle in Portumna, and we were able to visit neighboring towns with ease. I was very impressed with the information Margaret provided. She was kind enough to print out a packet that contains everything you need to know during your stay. Can't recommend enough.

Hosts were excellent. Room was perfect for the 2 of us. Clean and comfortable. Quiet location with easy access to the quaint village of Terryglass. A beautiful area to explore as you work your way around Lough Derg.

I cannot speak highly enough of the time we spent at Margaret and Stephen’s property. They are incredible people who have put together an incredible VRBO. The Irish countryside is just so special and this area is the perfect place to stay. Margaret welcomed us and shows us our space, which included a printed list of recommendations for dozens of restaurants and activities. The room is so cozy with a perfectly sized bathroom. We loved sleeping with our half door open to let in the fresh air. If we make our way back to Ireland we will absolutely be staying here again. Cannot recommend enough!!

Margaret and Steve are the most welcoming hosts. They are extremely friendly and helpful with any questions or requests that you might have. We can highly recommend this property. It's very tastefully decorated with cute things and thoughtful bits and pieces.

The host is a lovely woman who tries to fulfill all your wishes. The garden of the property is a dream with lots of wild flowers. Terryglass is a nice village in walking distance with a pub where you get good food. The room is nice. When you need a location to do trips to sites in the west of Irland I can recommend this location. The nearby lake Lough Derg is perfect for water sport activities.

A meat and tidy property with beautiful surroundings and garden. Megan Steve are absolutely fantastic hosts. They helped us figure out what to do and helped us in introducing ourselves down at the local pub. Meg effortlessly makes guests feel at home and well cared for. The room was one of the nicest we've found in our trip to Ireland. Even gave us a special gift of chocolates for our anniversary. Perfect in every way.

Choose this listing for my 3 night stay in Ireland 🇮🇪 because it is centralish to Ireland, & Northern Ireland was also only a couple of hours to cross the border if you'd like. Didn't explore Terryglass, though Paddy's Pub 🍀 has a good menu & a lovely atmosphere for dining 🍽🍻🍷. Margaret was a wonderful hostess who really provided an oasis 🌟 of peaceful comfort. ✌️ The weather wasn't good in mid October 🌬🌧, and I would have liked one dry, nice day or evening to sit in the garden area. Hope you can have the time & the weather to do so. If you've read the listing you'll know there is no wifi 🚫📶 & no television 📺 in the lodging. Most people have data, so the wifi wouldn't be an issue. A nice stack of books is available, a welcoming tray of fruits 🍎, coffee☕️ , tea 🍵, and even cookies 🍪 which were all enjoyed. The bed 🛌 was very comfy, as was the couch 🛋. Bedding was good, there was a nice throw blanket for the couch, & she even offered a hot water bottle 🍶 which was nice to warm up my feet. The shower 🚿 had a good flow with ample hot 🔥 water💧. There was body wash, shampoo, and small hotel type adds in the bathroom. Again, a place of small joys. There was a water heater, french press, & mugs for the tea and coffee. Found a great blow dryer that didn't need an outlet adapter. Door is a cool split style to open the top half if you'd like. Good parking & two nightstands if you feel like unpacking a bit . Fresh 💐 were appreciated. #shelivesontheroad

We had the best time. Margaret is super nice and thoughtful and we felt like home. The area is exceptionally beautiful and we had a blast exploring the nature and watching the sweet cows next door. My sister and I spent two nights here in this lovely spot. Our room was very cute with all the facilities we needed. We were greeted with a very warm hello from our hosts and they were extremely helpful and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone who is visiting the area or needs a nice vacation in the country. Great time overall, thank you!

The perfect spot down a beautiful country road. We stayed there for a family reunion in Terryglass and Mags and her husband were so accommodating and helpful with anything we needed. Loved how quiet the setting was off the beautiful garden while being just a nice stroll away from the pub/restaurant in Terryglass.

Had a lovely two day stay at the property while we attended a family wedding in Terryglass. Margaret was very helpful and the room was very comfortable. Really liked the guide booklet left for guests -lots of ideas and places to visit in the locality.

Margaret et son mari sont des hôtes prévenants et discrets qui mettent tout en œuvre pour le bien-être de leur invités. Beaucoup de petites attentions et de renseignements pour que votre séjour soit le meilleur possible. Leur maison est idéalement située pour le pêcheur que je suis mais aussi pour la visite des environs. La chambre très propre est très confortable. Je conseille vraiment ce logement et y retournerai à mon prochain passage en Irlande.
