Perfect

This hotel is the reason I love going to Germany on my motorcycle. The first thing the owners did before I even got into my room, was to park my motorcycle under cover so it wouldn't get wet. So now to the hotel room, it was really great with a balcony that when you looked to the right you could see the Mosel. It had everything that you would need for a comfortable 3 nights stay. The breakfast was really great, and you could over do it if you weren't careful. I had a meal there on 2 of my 3 nights, and the quality of the food was top notch. I really loved my 3 nights there. This area of Germany is just great on a motorcycle, and when you're lucky enough to choose a hotel like this, it makes for a really great stay. I couldn't fault it. And this hotel is only run by a handful of people, and the job that they do is just brilliant. Thank you all. Danke euch allen.

If you can find something to moan about here, then do yourself a favour, and stay at home.

Very good

Being bikers, the location was perfect because the hotel is in front of the biking lane at the river. About 7 km's from Traben-Trarbach, 17 km's from Bernkastel, both are nice bike trips. We had a spacious room at the front with river view. Breakfast (buffet) was great and had everything we care for, including freshly made fruit salad. Bikes can be securely stored in the garage.

Great stay at the Mosel

We broke down with our camper and had to wait for two days in a hotel. This is the one we found easily for our party of 4. What a wonderful location and what a great host.

Convenient place to stay along the Mosel

The room was nice and large enough to easily handle the two of us and all of our luggage. It was the only place where we were given washcloths (for washing our faces) and we liked that. It was a quiet room. Breakfast was good. The Manager was very friendly and helpful and made our stay very comfortable. The beds and pillows were comfortable and we had lots of storage space. We also had a safe in our room to keep our jewelry, passports, money, etc. in and that was very nice. There was also plenty of parking.

We had a balcony overlooking the back of the property and the mountains but didn't use it because of the smokey smell. While we asked for a smoke free room and we didn't smell any smoke in the room, there was an ashtray on the balcony and we did smell smoke there so we weren't happy about that. For most of the stay, there were two large groups at breakfast who were really noisy and so no matter where we sat we could barely hear each other speak. I thought it would have been nice to put large groups in one room and smaller parties in the other. Also, the Manager was loud and if the groups were somewhat quiet she would approach them and get them "in the party mood" again. Breakfast was good but rather than buffet style would have preferred individual trays as several guests were coughing and sneezing and didn't bother washing their hands before handling the serving utensils that were on the trays of food. Luckily we didn't come down with a cold.

voortreffelijk ontbijt, zeer ruime kamer met zicht op de Moezel, zeer vriendelijke bediening, ruime parking.

De kaart in het restaurant was eerder beperkt.

Tolle Lage - super Ausstattung - Freundlichkeit wird gross geschrieben - super Frühstück

Wir sind sehr herzlich empfangen worden- das Personal ist sehr freundlich- unser Zimmer total schön- sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sauber- ein leckeres Frühstück mit allem was dazugehört- es hat uns sehr gut gefallen und wir kommen bestimmt wieder !!

Het blijft bij één verblijf

Hygiëne in orde. Ontbijt ook. De keuken (diner) is O.K., maar voor een vierdaags verblijf is de keuze beperkt. Op dinsdag en woensdag is de keuken dicht.

Ontbijttijden beperkt (8 tot 10). De keuken sluit om acht uur 's avonds. Daarna is er niets meer te doen, het restaurant sluit gewoon en je kan naar je kamer. De eigenaars hebben het hele concept handig naar hun hand gezet en de klant moet zich maar schikken. Ik had een kamer 'met uitzicht op de stad', maar dat viel tegen: uitzicht op een paar muren en een grauw plat dak. Ik had nochtans als soloreiziger een duurdere dubbele kamer geboekt, maar toch. Als soloreiziger ben je immers vaak de klos: je krijgt de minst interessante opties, maar je betaalt wel. Volgens booking bedraagt de toeristentaks 4 euro, ik betaalde echter 6,40 euro.

Gigantisch goed en zeer uitgebreid ontbijt. Zo hebben we het nog niet meegemaakt. Meer dan genoeg keuze. Kort gezegd zeker een aanrader. Ook voor de vega's was er genoeg keuze.

Van het avond eten hadden we meer verwacht. Misschien dat we te verwend zijn. Ben vroeger zelf kok geweest. Voor het eten lag kwaliteit en prijs te ver uit elkaar.

Sehr gutes Hotel mit freundlichen Gastgebern in guter Lage direkt an der Mosel

Das Frühstücks Bufett war abwechslungsreich und täglich frisch. Am Buffet waren jeden Tag viele neue Speisen vorhanden. Waffeln zum selber backen, Lachs, Krabbencocktail etc. Zimmer wie angeboten, sehr sauber Ausstattung mit Wasserkocher mit Tee und Kaffesticks, Minibar und Weinauswahl mit Gläsern vorhanden

Unser erster Kurzurlaub an der Mosel. Wir sind super zufrieden: Unterkunft super, Frühstück reichhaltig und abwechslungsreich. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und verwöhnt. Wenn an die Mosel, dann ins Hotel Sonnenlay. Sehr zu empfehlen. Liebe Grüße aus Almstedt an die Inhaber.

Kurzurlaub im Moseltal. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Wirklich sehr gut! Obwohl wir hier in der Nebensaison waren und fast keine anderen Gäste im Haus waren, war das Frühstück wirklich sehr gut. Es gab alles: Ei, Speck, Obst, Ei zum selbst kochen, Müsli, Toast, Brot, Brötchen, Wurst, Käse, Fruchtsaft und noch mehr. Die Betreiberin ist sehr freundlich. Das Hotel ist gut für Familien geeignet und man kann auch seinen Hund mitnehmen.

Weinselige Tage an der Mosel

Hotel mit Blick auf die Mosel an der Bundesstraße gelegen, aber trotzdem ruhig. Nette Chefin, Essen im Hoteleigenem Restaurant sehr gut, Frühstück gut. Kostenfreie Parkplätze vor dem Hotel, Garage für Ebikes mit reichlich Steckdosen zum Laden der Akkus vorhanden. Fußweg zum Zentrum des Ortes mit 10 Minuten Laufzeit auch gut machbar.

Die Betten waren für uns gewöhnungsbedürftig, kann aber auch Ansichtssache sein. Das Restaurant schloss um 21:00 h. Es wäre schön gewesen wenn man dort noch ein, zwei Stunden bei einem guten Glas Wein, den es dort gab, hätte sitzen können. Aber wir denken mal so ein Arbeitstag im Hotel ist lang und Personalmangel gibt es ja überall.
