Villa Paquita

Location was great, very near the beach and in a quiet area. Swimming pool is very deep on one end - 2m, and around 1.5m in the other parts- meaning we could actually swim! Outdoor shower right next to the pool. Great facilities, 3 indoor showers (but up a flight of marble steps) Games in the basement, e.g. table tennis etc.

We had various issues with the host. Firstly, she kept coming into the house throughout our trip, coming right up to the gate so she could see inside the house and pool which was a complete invasion of privacy. There were 2 occasions where she even entered the house without knocking to complete a repair, and all of us were shocked to suddenly see her walking around unannounced. She even walked in on my younger sister in the bathroom?!? (as there are no locks on the toilet door). Even after seeing my sister in there, she didn't leave and went to repair the toilet flush. My sister ended up leaving the bathroom and waiting in the bedroom. Secondly, and far more seriously, on the final day of our stay, a bathroom door lock stopped working whilst my dad was inside. We called Paquita (the host), and again she just walked straight into the basement of the house through the garage without alerting anyone/knocking, and came up to the ground floor to fix the lock. At first, Paquita tried removing the handle with a screwdriver, and when this did not work, without alerting ANYBODY she grabbed a hammer and starting breaking down the window from the outside!! There were shards of glass everywhere, while my diabetic dad was trapped in the very small toilet. At first we tried to stop and reason with her, and it progressed into shouting and then calling the fire brigade ourselves. The issue was resolved very quickly once they arrived. Whilst this was happening, my sister starting speaking through the door to check on our dad, and even got shouted at by Paquita?!? Such a shocking experience. We weren't even given extra time to check-out even though he had been stuck in there for 2 hours on the morning of leaving. - Constant repairs were needed throughout the house, as it is very old. - No locks on all but one of the toilet doors! - No indoor showers downstairs meaning we had to walk upstairs to the showers, and the marble stairs became slippery and dangerous often.

Villa Paquita was absolutely stunning. Paquita herself greeted us on arrival, she was absolutely lovely. My family and I had a fabulous stay, there was plenty of room for us all. The villa was so well equipped. I highly recommend it, and hope that I will return one day. I would also like to mention Emilio, who, when I emailed and asked questions, he responded almost immediately. Thank-you very much

The property is absolutely beautiful with everything you need it for your stay, very well maintained and very well equipped, from the kitchen to the bathrooms and laundry room. The garden is like a oases and the pool is fantastic, we really enjoyed every single moment. The house is a short distance from everything, shops, beach, town and also the house is located in a very quiet area. Paquita, our host, she’s the most kind and generous person we’ve met! I highly recommend this place! For my point of view this house is 10!!
