Rooms are small and simple. Hotel is very noisy. You can hear everything. The nearest beach is fine but is not where you want to go every day. There are better beaches nearby but you need to go by car. There are good restaurants in the vicinity but all of them are a 10-15 mins drive by car.

Superb

A really nice hotel, build in the 1920s and decorated superbly. We had a very nice view from our top-floor balcony, overlooking the trees towards the sea. Staff was very friendly and Breakfast was exceĺlent.

Good

Hotel des Deux Mare is a charming independent hotel, built in the 1930s (when there was little else around in Penthievre). It has a lovely relaxed ambience, like a home from home, and sits in a quiet backstreet in Penthievre, overlooking the pine woods/village - and very close to huge Penthievre beach. Delicious continental breakfast in a beautiful dining room, covered verandah terrace next door for lounging. Small kids playroom with lovely books and plenty of fun to be had for young kids climbing on pine logs and exploring gardens.

We spent all our time on the Quiberon peninsula, and had to drive daily (as so much beach clobber for young kids) - so fine to cycle across if you travel light, but other families might ideally want to be located on peninsula. Regarding the rooms, this hotel is not ideally suited to families of 5 or more. We had a disagreement initially with the lady manager, as 1 family suite could easily have accommodated us all (couple and kids 7,6,4). However, we were forced to pay double and book a second suite as they would not accommodate 5 of us in a double/twin rooms. As many families have a third young child, this does not seem reasonable. In other hotels our youngest has been put up on a small camp bed and we pay a small supplement for an extra person. We also offered to have no extra bed (and put 3 kids in the double), however this was not acceptable either. However, as recompense for this situation the Manager offered for the younger to to eat breakfast free for the week, which was a decent goodwill gesture. All the other staff were delightful, and there is no doubt that all the team work very hard to make this feel like a “home from home”, in a relaxed environment with tasteful and comfortable decoration.

Der Charme eines 100 Jahre alten Grand Hotels in sehr naher Strandlage genießen.

Der Charme eines 100 Jahre alten Grand Hotels empfängt einen. Vom Bett aus hatten wir einen tollen Ausblick auf die Küstenlinie. Man war in wenigen Schritten direkt an einem sehr weiten Strand. Schöner Frühstücksraum mit einem der besten Frühstücke, die wir auf unserer Tour genießen konnten. Die Zimmer waren etwas spartanisch eingerichtet und, wie oft in Frankreich, relativ klein. Wenn man im dritten Stock wohnt, darf man nichts gegen Treppensteigen haben. Parken bequem hintern Haus und abgesperrt. Sehr nette Chefin.

Das die SNCF den Betrieb auf der Stecke nach Quiberon im September eingestellt hatte!. Dafür kann das Hotel aber nichts! Es wäre einfach cool gewesen, direkt mit dem Zug zum Hotel zu fahren.

Der extrem muffige Geruch im Zimmer - feucht Der Garten - der so toll sein sollte - man schaut auf den Parkplatz und die Möbel eher Sperrmüll Zur Begrüßung stand an der Eingangstreppe eine Schale mit einer toten Maus - sehr Geschmackvoll !!!!

très bon séjour de courte de durée on éteait en transis

A 2 minutes de la plage ç'est très bien .... Très bon petit déjeuner très copieux et a volonté.... La chambre se trouvant sur le jardin était très tranquille..... Le personnel très attentionné La literie était très bonne

Juste un petit inconvénient il faut prendre la voiture pour aller au restaurant et surtout c' était le lendemain du 15 août beaucoup de monde partout dans les restaurant , même en réservant l'après midi c'était compliqué . Hôtel un peu vieillissant .

Le personnel de l’hôtel était incroyablement gentil et prévenant, c’est un vrai plaisir de séjourner à leur côté dans cet hôtel. Le second point très positif de l’hôtel c’est bien sûr la vue imprenable sur la végétation et la mer.

Pour le prix de l’établissement j’ai été un peu déçue quant à trois choses : un petit déjeuner assez basique pour un hôtel malgré le prix de 17 euros. Une insonorisation très passable entre les chambres et le couloir ainsi que les salle de bains attenantes. Enfin, un manque de prises autour du lit. Je n’ai trouvé qu’une prise dans la chambre, proche de la porte ce qui est tout de même dommage pour un hôtel 3*
