Walk to Town 41B Alpine Chalet is a self-contained studio and bedroom apartment on Lomond Crescent, Queenstown, with stunning lake and mountain views, contemporary finishes, and direct access to the Ben Lomond walking and mountain biking trail from the front door. Sleeping up to four guests, it suits couples, two friends travelling together, or a small family looking for a modern, well-located Queenstown base at an accessible price point.
The layout is open plan and works well for the space. One private enclosed queen bedroom provides a proper sleep space, while the living area includes a second queen bed for additional guests. Both beds are made up with crisp white linen and electric blankets — a detail that matters in Queenstown where evenings turn cold quickly regardless of the season. This property is lovely but the driveway is not for the faint hearted driving or walking so not suited to older or low mobility people.
Whilst there is a kitchenette there is no hot plate only a small slow cooker and a sandwich press.
The lounge is lumpy and the bed in the main (enclosed) bedroom is not as nice as the one that is in the open area adjacent the kitchen.
It’s also a way out of town so you would preferably have a hire/car.
Otherwise a nice modern unit with a great view although partially obstructed by a hedge I wanted to hack down but didn’t

Thank you for a compact, cosy and warm stay in this lovely abode. We enjoyed a delightful week- long stay with our little family of four. Perched at the top of the hill in a suburban street this gem has a beautiful view of the mountains. It is walkable to town with a steep uphill return journey.

Fantastic location within walking distance to all of Queenstown. We found it difficult to find a parking spot for our car in town, so simply parked the car at the Chalet and walked everywhere. Within walking distance are many restaurants, shops & things to do. We took the Gondola and participated in the zip line & luge ride, which were both fun activities. The Chalet is modern, clean and nicely appointed. It has everything that you need for your stay.
